sad.gif i am so sorry, i did not mean to 'hijack' a 'thread' (see below) i have never explored one of these before, never have had such trouble before. i just want some help. have called the tech support and of course have to pay for any kind of help and have already paid for the software and it won't install, don't think i should have to pay for the installation as well. have looked on many of these 'threads' and tried what i have seen without positive results, and just thought i could solicit help as others did but i guess not knowing the 'etiquete' (sp?) i made some kind of mistake and annoyed someone. i really just want some help. i am beginning to think i have made a mistake in my purchase. i liked the version of roxio 6 that came with the software bundle on my computer and just thought i would upgrade when i saw it could take cassettes to cds (see original request below) will they just give me back my money for a software that is just not working???????????? someone pleasse help

can anyone help me??? i have tried for about a month to install emc8. it goes almost to the end and then freezes. after many uninstalls and reinstalls, reformatting my hard drive, disabling firewalls and norton using the patch pxengine1_08_34a, the same thing. freezes right at the end so the EMC80_805_Update does not recognize what is there on my computer cannot install the content cd. i just don't know what to do. i am needing this for many things mostly, it seems to be the best for transferring a cassette tape to cd (my husband has old sermons he wants to put on cd). please can anyone help? i have windows xp operating system.

the response to my original request: "You already hijacked another thread around the 17th of August. You need to follow that thread and quit posting all over the forums."

I don't know how far you got with the posts but it would better your chances if you would include your PC information. You should go by here and get some pointers: http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...c=6062&st=0

We are just fellow users on here, we don't work for Roxio. We also have jobs and kids etc, etc ,etc anyway, check this out: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html . This will give us the info we need to maybe help.

You say "have looked on many of these 'threads' and tried what i have seen " we have no idea of what you have done or not done, be specific.

We need more information.
