Hello,

While recording from the sound card, I received some type of error, which I believe may have corrupted this application file. Now when I click the "Capture Audio from Sound Card", the application no longer loads up. All other applications within the audio-related areas show up and load correctly.

My question is, can I just reload the app. from EMC 8? Or will I have to uninstall & reinstall the whole program again?

I have a Dell Dimension 4600 3 GHz, running Windows XP Home Edition on a SoundBlaster 24 bit Advanced HD Audio card.

Regards

You can try going to Add/Remove programs in the control panel and hit Change instead of Remove and do a repair instead of uninstall.

That "capture" is one of the assistants and several people have not had good luck; did you try from the Home menu, the Media Import function and then selecting the audio button? Does that work?
You may also want to try to reinstall the drivers for the video card. You can get the latest from the Dell site. It would be nice if you could recall the error message.
