HELP!!!!

I am putting together a slideshow for a wedding in 3 days. I have used the slideshow assistant, and created it... then i put it in video wave...and the frustration started...

Some pictures are not shoing fully - which i think will be fixed once this is burned and played...

BUT.....whenever i try to add audio to any of it (either through mp3 or a sound editor project) I am given a "found new hardware" message....the hardware is unknown....and then since it cannot find a driver it freezes my computer....

HELP HELP HELP HELP.... sad.gif

Try building your production in VideoWave, not Slide show Assistant. See if that makes a difference. Make sure that you have the latest drivers for you sound card and video card.

What video card and sound card do you have? What do you mean by "both are working"? You still need to update the drivers for both.

I'm not sure why you are getting the new hardware message; perhaps the sound card has never been installed properly. Can you listen to music on the computer at all? What happens if you simply cancel the message about new hardware? You might want to go into Windows, My Computer, Hardware and delete the audio card. When you reboot, the card should be automatically reinstalled.

Where did you get the audio files from? If from an on-line store, you must burn them to a cd using the service you get them from and then bring them back onto the computer (create a new folder for them). If they are from a CD or DVD or such, try opening Sound Editor, add the music and then export the tracks as wav files.

In VideoWave, go to the top menu, tools, options. Change the little dot to be near the word software and then preview you slide show.

What brand and model is your computer?

When i cancel the add new hardware message, it freezes the computer...i can listen to music on my computer so i am unsure of why the message would be related to the sound card having to beinstalled...I will try deleting and rebooting my computer....

I will also try burning them and bringing them back to the computer via a cd...since i also tried taking the mp3 files putting them into editor and exporting them into a wav file - i get the same message...

my lap top is a Dell Latitue D810 - and as I said - it is a work computer so i got it as is, and didn't choose anything that was put on it....thanks for the help...i will try the suggestions....
