I know variations about this topic have already been asked, but I can't seem to figure it out. As another poster here stated, this was easily done on Nero (but that program is so darn buggy!) I was hoping just to use my Roxio.

I have lots of mp3's on my computer and want to transfer a few of them online so I need to reduce the file size. Most are at 320 and I want them at 192.

When I open Roxio, where do I go exactly
No problem converting discs, but existing files--I'm at a loss.

I click on AUDIO, but I don't see where I should go from there.

In the Home screen click on applications on the left side and then on the right, you'll see the full list of apps. Look for Sound Editor. The help file should guide you the rest of the way. Other apps will also do this such as Music Disc Creator but it's a matter of which you think is easier.

No problem. After you've gotten your fingers dirty, if you are still having trouble, let me know and hopefully I can help you further. It's not complicated but if you're not use to the program, getting started sometimes is the worst part.

I knew there was a way to those "hidden" options.

I've been using Roxio since EMC7 and every version up to the 8 deluxe. Just when I'm getting used to it, here comes 9

To me it usually means the opposite!
EMC9 is very similar to 8 but with added tweaks and more features. Like most suites, there are great parts and not so great parts. I think with each release the not so great parts get better and the great parts are still worth bragging about. Plus, by the time Vista is out, EMC9 will be able to work with it.
