I am unable to install emc 8 on my new Dell dimension 5150 computer, i manage to get so far, then get "internal error # 2753" there was some roxio stuff preinstalled on the computer which I deleted. I had no problem installing it on my previous ancient tiny computer,

A search on this forum shows that others having the same problem fixed it by going to C:\Program Files\Common Files and rename Roxio Shared to Roxio Shared.old. Then, reinstall EMC 8
But, did you deleted the preinstalled programs or uninstall them? There is a difference. Make sure they are uninstalled before you try fixing your problem.
