    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Well, I bought it at German Amazon. (http://www.amazon.de...53061914&sr=8-9) I think this should be the same...: http://www.amazon.co...&pf_rd_i=507846

Good to hear it worked out for you as well, in the end.

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Yes it is passive. The one I had before was active but it didn't work. This one only works when both the TV and the Roxio are connected because otherwise I get lines all over the image and it flickers. P.S. When I wanted to look in this forums earlier yesterday I just got an animated message with music and stuff, that it was hacked and all data including passwords (hashes I hope) was dumped... What was it?

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Well Well. I just got the new cable and it works perfectly I get perfect images and sound on both my GameCap and the TV (Well no sound there because DVI doesn't support it) Here is an image of the cable and how I connected it:

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Well... I just got my HDMI splitter, and surprise: it does not work... My TV receives a correct signal now, and the image looks great, but the capture card doesn't get one... I just sent it back and will order another, cheaper, passive one. (The one I had now was active and activated one or both ports only, when a device was connected there. I don't think it recognized the capture card.) Since a passive one passes the signal to both ports no matter if a device is connected or not, I think that might actually work. Will keep you updated. I also think that RCA to DVI does not work, because if you connect the XBox to the HDMI port of the Roxio it only passes the image to the output HDMI port and not the other ones...
  7. Shouldn't this topic be the one that is pinned? Instand of the "No Audio When Imported To Sony Vegas?" one this has the solution to the problem...

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

I think I know where the problem is. Even when I set my XBox to RGB Color Space the Game Capture outputs the video in YCbCr color space, which is not supported by DVI... My last option seems to be a adapter with one HDMI in and 2 out. so I can connect my XBox to the Adapter and the Card and my TV to it, so I don't have to plug my TV into the capture card.

Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Faqs

I have a question: Can you use a HDMI -> DVI Cable to connect it to a PC Monitor? Because for me that doesn't work and outputs a red image on the TV...
  10. Well... This seems to be a similar problem like over here... So there are more poeple having the problem, than I thought. Maybe Roxio should fix this somehow...

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Well since the Adapter does work, when connecting my XBox directly to my TV (XBox-> HDMI Cable -> DVI Adapter -> TV) and when connecting my TV to the HDMI port of my graphics card (where I normaly use the DVI port of course), and Wikipedia says "Because HDMI is electrically compatible with the CEA-861 signals used by digital visual interface (DVI), no signal conversion is necessary, nor is there a loss of video quality when a DVI-to-HDMI adapter is used." I'd assume that there is a problem with the way HDMI functionality is implemented in the Game Capture HD Pro... But maybe it's just the adapter I'm using... It came with my graphics card. I'll just order a HDMI -> DVI cable and see if it works then.

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

Sorry for that. I'm not a native speaker, but thanks for pointing it out. I'll try to get it right in the future. I'd really like to try it out with a HDMI port but sadly I don't have a TV that has one. Until now I thought HDMI is just DVI with added sound and a different connector. (That's why there are those passive adapters) I guess I'm wrong there...

    Hdmi To Dvi Problems

I'm having the same problem It seems like the card doesn't work with HDMI to DVI Adapters... Here is a picture: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xgp6cgjz0bcmwnr/IMG_0234.JPG
