  1. Little update I've resolved the problem with the color bars. All I did was uninstall Roxio with Revo Uninstaller Pro and re-installed it. I don't know why it freaked out before, but it's fixed now.
  2. Yeah, I did that and I've been tinkering with the setup, but nothing. I get the color bars even when I turn my 360 off. Maybe my pc monitor? I clicked the help button - click system info. Maybe someone can make sense of it and find a problem ---------------- [0] ----------------- AddressWidth=64 Architecture=9 Availability=3 Caption=Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 2 CpuStatus=1 CreationClassName=Win32_Processor CurrentClockSpeed=917 CurrentVoltage=33 DataWidth=64 Description=Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 2 DeviceID=CPU0 ExtClock=133 Family=198 L2CacheSize=256 L3CacheSize=3072 L3CacheSpeed=0 Level=6 LoadPercentage=42 Manufacturer=GenuineIntel MaxClockSpeed=2133 Name=Intel® Core™ i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz NumberOfCores=2 NumberOfLogicalProcessors=4 PowerManagementSupported=FALSE ProcessorId=BFEBFBFF00020652 ProcessorType=3 Revision=9474 Role=CPU SocketDesignation=CPU 1 Status=OK StatusInfo=3 SystemCreationClassName=Win32_ComputerSystem SystemName=KEYAIRA-PC UpgradeMethod=8 VoltageCaps=2 ---------------- [0] ----------------- BankLabel=Bank 0 Capacity=2147483648 Caption=Physical Memory CreationClassName=Win32_PhysicalMemory DataWidth=64 Description=Physical Memory DeviceLocator=M1 FormFactor=12 Manufacturer=02FE MemoryType=0 Name=Physical Memory PartNumber=EBJ21UE8BDS0-AE-F SerialNumber=E2DC10DE Speed=533 Tag=Physical Memory 0 TotalWidth=64 TypeDetail=128 ---------------- [1] ----------------- BankLabel=Bank 1 Capacity=2147483648 Caption=Physical Memory CreationClassName=Win32_PhysicalMemory DataWidth=64 Description=Physical Memory DeviceLocator=M2 FormFactor=12 Manufacturer=02FE MemoryType= Name=Physical Memory PartNumber=EBJ21UE8BDS0-AE-F SerialNumber=78D510E1 Speed=533 Tag=Physical Memory 1 TotalWidth=64 TypeDetail=128 ---------------- [0] ----------------- AdapterCompatibility=Intel Corporation AdapterDACType=Internal AdapterRAM=1839464448 Availability=3 Caption=Intel® HD Graphics ConfigManagerErrorCode=0 ConfigManagerUserConfig=FALSE CreationClassName=Win32_VideoController CurrentBitsPerPixel=32 CurrentHorizontalResolution=1360 CurrentNumberOfColors=4294967296 CurrentNumberOfColumns=0 CurrentNumberOfRows=0 CurrentRefreshRate=60 CurrentScanMode=4 CurrentVerticalResolution=768 Description=Intel® HD Graphics DeviceID=VideoController1 DitherType=0 DriverDate=20120110000000.000000-000 DriverVersion=8.15.10.2622 InfFilename=oem25.inf InfSection=iILKM0 InstalledDisplayDrivers=igdumd64.dll,igd10umd64.dll,igdumdx32,igd10umd32 MaxRefreshRate=75 MinRefreshRate=59 Monochrome=FALSE Name=Intel® HD Graphics PNPDeviceID=PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0046&SUBSYS_033E1025&REV_12\3&11583659&1&10 Status=OK SystemCreationClassName=Win32_ComputerSystem SystemName=KEYAIRA-PC VideoArchitecture=5 VideoMemoryType=2 VideoModeDescription=1360 x 768 x 4294967296 colors VideoProcessor=Intel® HD Graphics (Core i3) ---------------- [0] ----------------- BytesPerSector=512 Capabilities=UN_KNOW CapabilityDescriptions=Random Access Caption=Hitachi HTS545032B9A300 ConfigManagerErrorCode=0 ConfigManagerUserConfig=FALSE CreationClassName=Win32_DiskDrive Description=Disk drive DeviceID=\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0 FirmwareRevision=PB3O Index=0 InterfaceType=IDE Manufacturer=(Standard disk drives) MediaLoaded=TRUE MediaType=Fixed hard disk media Model=Hitachi HTS545032B9A300 Name=\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0 Partitions=3 PNPDeviceID=IDE\DISKHITACHI_HTS545032B9A300_________________PB3OC60F\4&A46FA02&0&0.0.0 SCSIBus=0 SCSILogicalUnit=0 SCSIPort= SCSITargetId=0 SectorsPerTrack=63 SerialNumber=011090BP35606QAFJ6GT Signature=-1582784088 Size=320070320640 Status=OK SystemCreationClassName=Win32_ComputerSystem SystemName=KEYAIRA-PC TotalCylinders=38913 TotalHeads=255 TotalSectors=625137345 TotalTracks=9922815 TracksPerCylinder=255 ---------------- [0] ----------------- Caption=Realtek High Definition Audio ConfigManagerErrorCode=0 ConfigManagerUserConfig=FALSE CreationClassName=Win32_SoundDevice Description=Realtek High Definition Audio DeviceID=HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_1025033E&REV_1000\4&1D172D76&0&0001 Manufacturer=Realtek Name=Realtek High Definition Audio PNPDeviceID=HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_1025033E&REV_1000\4&1D172D76&0&0001 PowerManagementSupported=FALSE ProductName=Realtek High Definition Audio Status=OK StatusInfo=3 SystemCreationClassName=Win32_ComputerSystem SystemName=KEYAIRA-PC ---------------- [1] ----------------- Caption=Intel® Display Audio ConfigManagerErrorCode=0 ConfigManagerUserConfig=FALSE CreationClassName=Win32_SoundDevice Description=Intel® Display Audio DeviceID=HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2804&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000\4&1D172D76&0&0301 Manufacturer=Intel® Corporation Name=Intel® Display Audio PNPDeviceID=HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2804&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000\4&1D172D76&0&0301 PowerManagementSupported=FALSE ProductName=Intel® Display Audio Status=OK StatusInfo=3 SystemCreationClassName=Win32_ComputerSystem SystemName=KEYAIRA-PC (Edit) Although I can't see in my preview screen I pressed the capture button, you know just for kicks, and I recorded for 1 min and 25 sec. But it only captured a second.
  3. I'm pretty sure, from the diagram I'm setup the same way. I can hear the game through my pc, I just can't see in the preview box. Maybe I should reboot my pc one last time for good luck. lol jk I'm gonna tinker with it a bit more, if you guys have more suggestions they are appreciated.
  4. Ok, I'll give this a go and get back to you with the results. (Edited) Alrighty then, It worked! But now when I open Roxio and click the capture option, I get this: I can see the xbox 360 dashboard on my tv screen, but the capture screen on my pc has the 3am infomercial rainbow. The source is on hdmi; so is the tv/xbox. It's hooked up accordingly, I think. I mean, if I wasn't I wouldn't be able to see the 360 dashboard on my tv right?
  5. I got my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro in the post a few days ago and I've been trying to work it ever since. At first the software wasn't working and every time I tried to open the program I got the |Critical Keys Registry Missing|. I uninstalled, or tried to, uninstall the entire program and usb driver. I rebooted my pc, repaired, updated, rebooted, etc. I finally ended up having to go into my registry and cleaning up flies. When I had it all sorted out the program finally opened and I was apply to choice between capture or edit/share. Just a little background. But, I digress that's not why I'm here. When I open my device manager I've got the little yellow caution sign over the Roxio usb. I only have one driver for it. I read you're supposed to have two. Also, it says driver not installed correctly, obviously. I've uninstalled the driver, rebooted, repaired, rebooted, re-installed/updated, but still nada. I'm running out of ideas really and I've turned to my fellow community for some insight on my problem. Should I uninstall and start from scratch? I don't know how to give my pc specs, but I have some pictures. This is how my device manager looks before I plug in the usb: This is how it looks after:
