  1. Thank you very much. I have just ordered Verbatim DVDs to see if that will help. Also, the video i was recording was about 1 and a half hours. Do you have any suggestions on what to do when the video is longer than an hour. Should I uncheck the Fit-to-Disc option and split the video and put it on two discs?
  2. I want to thank you for taking your time to help me with this. The discs that we use are memorex, imation, ativa, and we have also used the memorex 4 hour ones. Here is the process we follow. We start off with the record, import, edit option. (For whatever reason, the straight to copy to a dvd has never worked.) We then start the VCR, and then click the red dot on the computer that states record. Once it is complete, we stop it, or it stops by itself because the vhs tape ends, and then we go to export. Once at export, we choose the option DVD, and the destination drive states D:\ HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30F TS08 and then we put in the disc. The screen on the computer also has a checkmark in the autofit box. Once we do that, we click on the Burn button, and it starts to record. While it is burning, it will get to 97%, and stay there awhile, and then it will finish. When we take the DVD and try it in the DVD player, we get a "Unsupported" message on the DVD player. However, this same disc will play on my portable dvd player without any problem. It will also play on the computer without a problem. In addition, when we try it in our blu ray player, it will play, and then it will freeze, always in the same spot. We have tried it with two different types of discs, and it always stops in the same place on the blu ray player. The other thing i will say is we have burned several dvds in the past, and they worked just fine on all of our equipment. Thank you for looking at this.
  3. Recently, i have started having problems when converting vhs tapes to DVDs using the roxio software. I use a computer with Windows 7. After converting a tape, using the record and edit option, it won't play on most of my dvd players or blu ray players. It will play on an old portable dvd player i have, but nothing else. Is there an update to the software i am missing? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
