Toast Titanium Pro 16 Bugs / Issues!

Mike, I guess I'm a sucker for promises and Corels bullshit ads. I just upgraded to Toast 17 pro ($99) and it has the same interface issues as 16 does, plus when I go to select Blu Ray, it says do you want to install the plugin.. I say yes and it say "We Encountered an Error.. want to try again". So I say Yes , and it shows the same error. I'm going after a refund for this worthless P.O.S.

Feature Comparison Between Titanium 15 & Titanium 16?

Yes.. theme.. template.. same same to me.. but here's the update from my other thread: UPDATE: Toast Titanium 16 Pro: I couldn't get the extra 100 theme/templates to install where they would show up in MYDVD and Corel tech support was the worst ever (No surprise here). Out of Frustration I finally mounted the disk image and then copied the themes .pkg file from the PRO APPS folder and then pasted it into the MYDVD folder. Then I did the install from that location and Voila! The themes are now in the MYDVD product.

Toast Titanium Pro 16 Bugs / Issues!

Just got stupid and paid for the upgrade to Toast 16 Pro. Looks like there's a few new utilities and 1 new feature(the multi-cam feature) and it also looks like Corel Quality Control hasn't gotten any better. Running Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra. In the burning screen when you click on Menu, the drop down selections are transparent so their text is basically lost because of the background showing thru. The same thing on other dropdown menus. See the attached screenshots. From what it seems to me, I paid for a new version that just has a different color scheme, 1 feature most people won't use, and User Interface bugs. I haven't really played with it to evaluate the burning performance but the one blu ray disk I did burn, never got better than 2x on a 6x Blu Ray on a 16x Blu Ray external drive. Also, after I installed the "100 extra" themes for mydvd, there's no way to find them or use them. (See below for an update to the THEME ISSUE) I have chatted with Corel about this and they have sent the issues to the tech department. I'm not optimistic about getting any fixes due to their history of Ignoring Toast 15. I hope they prove me wrong. If you have Toast 15... I would wait before throwing away your money on Toast16. Don't be stupid like me. UPDATE: Toast Titanium 16 Pro: I couldn't get the extra 100 theme to install where they would show up in MYDVD and Corel tech support was the worst ever (No surprise here). Creator Nxt 5 Missing Features?

I have gotten a refund and deleted the multitude of files from my Windows 7 on my iMac 27". For now I will stick with Toast for the Mac, although thats another program Corel is treating like crap. Matt

Feature Comparison Between Titanium 15 & Titanium 16?

I bought V16 and aside from add on software I won't use, there's no performance increase and all kinds of user interface bugs. I still can't get anyone to tell me where the 100 themes are. I'm beginning to suspect that they are counting all the different pages inside a theme like for chapters etc as a theme and part of the 100. I'm debating a refund because it's really no better than V15 running under Sierra.

    Creator Nxt 5 Missing Features?

I thank you both for your time in answering my questions. I did get it from Roxio and will be asking for a refund.
  8. I'm a Roxio Toast user and perhaps I'm expecting too much but I did some research and from what I could find, there should be a way to add motion menu's to a blu ray/dvd menu but I can't find it anywhere. Also I have been looking for the following features that I thought would be standard based on them being in Toast Titanium for Mac since windows programs always have more features than PC software company versions of software for the mac. 1- Encoding -> NEVER.. in Toast I can turn of encoding so that my m2ts files don't re-encode and waste time 2- Add menu's in Advanced mode. Am I crazy or is MYDVD the only place you can have a menu? I've looked all over and can't find where to add them. In Toast You can just drag them into the media area and they get added to the menu.. truth be told though.. you can't edit any of the text or placement "on the menu". All I'm trying to do is add m2ts files to a blu ray with a motion menu to play when the disk is inserted in a blu ray player. Did I waste my money on this? Is there something out there that will do what I want? I sincerely appreciate the time and assistance that anyone may provide. Thanks matt caswell

    Edit Menu Buttons In Dvd-Video?

Am I the only one that still wants to make custom menus in Toast? I hate the generic ones they created. Please... if anyone has figured it out please let me know. Matt Caswell matt AT thecaswells.net

Toast 16 - Toast 15 With 1 New Feature And Bugs

Update: If you burn a Blu Ray to an image file first, then copy that image file to a 6x Blu Ray disc, you can get an average write speed of 6-7x as I did on this test. On Toast 15, I routinely got 6-7x when burning blu ray images with PlexDisc (Amazon) 25gb 6x inkjet printable discs. If you try and burn right from the added video files to the disc without using the image file intermediate file, it will only burn about 2x and take forever. Matt Caswell

Toast Titanium 15 Burn Speed Sucks!

Here's the answer from Corel Support and it works. I'm burning at full speed now: I am posting the process below. Some of the files listed weren't on my Mac running Sierra. -------------------- I understand that you are having an issue with the software. Let me go ahead and help you. Please follow the troubleshooting steps provided below. open the Finder Go to the Menu Bar and open the "Go" menu. Select the entry: "Go to Folder..." Enter the path of the Preferences Folder: ~/Library/Preferences Trash the following files: Roxio Toast Prefs" “com.roxio.ScreenCapture.plist” "com.roxio.toast.plist" "com.roxio.Toast.LSSharedFileList.plist" "com.roxio.MyDVD.plist" "com.roxio.videoplayer.plist" “com.roxio.videoplayer.LSSharedFileList.plist” “com.corel.Toast-Audio-Assistant.plist” "empty the trash bin and reboot the Mac" Aside from deleting the plist and Prefs files under the hidden Library/Preferences folder, you also need to delete other files/folders from these locations: Hidden Library sub-folders: -Preferences > plist and Prefs files -Application support > Roxio folder -Caches > Com.roxio.toast -Saved application state > com.corel.toastxxx.savedstate, com.roxio.toastxxx.savedstate -Services > Toastit.service Shortcut to bringing up the hidden Library folder (so you don’t need to use the Go To Folder search tool) is to open a Finder window, press and hold down the “Option” key on the Mac keyboard, then click Go > Library on the taskbar at the top of the screen. Notice that if you release the “Option” key, the “Library” item on the Go menu disappears. Pressing the Option key again makes the Library item re-appear.

Toast Titanium 15 Burn Speed Sucks!

Yea, they may say they don't read them but I'm willing to bet they do.. and I don't hold out any hope that Corel gives a ^#!& about mac users. Thanks for the link.

Toast Titanium 15 Burn Speed Sucks!

So I've been using Toast since way back when it was the best burn program around and I've always been happy with it... until the last few years. I've stayed with Toast and I've paid the upgrade fees and now I'm at TT15. It constantly crashes, and when burning a disk it will sometimes create coasters. Now I have found that even if I save a disc image file and then burn that, it can't ever get above 1-2X and this is on a 12x drive with 6x BDR's. I just got a new drive and it came with Toast LT so I figured , WTH, I'll try burning the image file with this. It was burning between 6x and 8x and just ran great. Pretty bad when their free product has 2-3x performance increase over their $100 product. Hey Corel... how about you fix these issues with TT15 so we can actually get what we paid for! Matt Caswell

Toast 15 Fails To Burn Large Br To Image Error 108

UPDATE: Looks like it was a bad m2ts file that was causing the issue. TT 15 still burns as slow as molasses. I just burned a 15gb disc image with Toast LT and it burned at between 6-8X where with TT15 its lucky to get above 1 or 2x.
