    Roxio Video Capture Help

Hello, I am new to using Roxio Video Capture and struggling to copy the VHS movies successfully. I have managed to record the VHS onto my laptop using the composite and high option but when i play the video back on the laptop the sound is out of sync with the picture and an 1h30min video is taking up 19GB! Am i doing something wrong? What can i do next? I am using a mac book 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB and OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 if thats any help and i am happy to keep the videos on a hard drive instead of the extra hassle of burning to DVD... I have LOTS of VHS and trying to avoid spending lots of £££££££ Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks
