  1. Media Selector My Media Empty

I found it under Tools, Browse and Manage Media on Roxio Central finally, then the Media Manager came up. In 2009 it had an icon on Roxio Central easy to find. I'd also searched the Roxio Help for all terms- Media Manager, Media Selector and there is NOTHING there, nor on Roxio website or Corel Knowledge bases. So issue is solved- hope the Media Manager works better than in 2009.
  2. Media Selector My Media Empty

When using Music Disc Creator and selecting Add Audio Tracks the Media Selector opens but under the My Media there is no content under any of the categories like Artist etc., they are all empty. I can go to the Folders tab and access my music files there within Media Selector window. Previously I had used Creator 2009 which had the Media Manager accessible from within Roxio Central and all of my media files would appear in the Music Disc Creator Media Selector window under My Media. With NXT 5 I am totally confused.
  3. Mydvd Problems

Digital Guru I am signed in OK on this forum, but when I go to change my username it keeps telling me my password is incorrect- triple checked and it's not and signs into forum just fine. Tried changing password where it asks for current password and I get the same message that it is incorrect. Stumped in how to fix.
  4. Mydvd Problems

Can you burn a dual layer DVD without the above mentioned limitations?
  5. My Dvd Module Crashes

Thanks. Reinstalled DirectX and now all seems to be working OK.
  6. My Dvd Module Crashes

Roxio Creator NXT 5, attempts to open MyDVD crashes with various errors. Installed program from disc, everything else seems to be working.
  7. Music Disc Creator Won't Open Properly

Appreciate the info about Music Disc Creator working on various Roxio versions in Windows 7, but when was the last time you used it from C2010 or C2012 on Windows Vista? I'm asking because I'm concerned some recent Windows Updates to Vista may have caused the problem as the program had been working fine for years.
  8. No, can't open from Start Menu, or from within Media Manager or other modules linked with it. I have no idea which Windows updates may have effected the program, and my Restore points only go back for about a month- anyway, since the Windows updates involved security issues, not a good idea to mess with them and trouble shooting back is nearly impossible for more than one month. Glad to hear Music Disc Creator works in Windows 7 however. My last option, since a clean install didn't work, is that I have full disc image backup using Acronis from last year when Music Disc Creator was working, and if I can figure out how to restore the program files from there I'll give that a try.
  9. Music Disc Creator Won't Open Properly

Issue is track art are the only files available for selecting a path and choosing any in the AudioCore themes doesn't get the File not Found to respond. The File Not Found box shouldn't come up whan attempting to open Music Disc Creator- and from the File not Found box there is no way to choose the Music Disc Creator file path from the program files in Audio Core as this File not Found box only is allowing Track Art selections and not any other file types. Anyway, another user posted the same issue and same attempts to fix with clean install with no luck in the NXT 3 area- http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/117800-i-cant-open-music-disc-creator-split-from-non-related-dead-thread/ I almost upgraded from 2009 to NXT 3 to get my often used and beloved Music Disc Creator working, but from the above post it seems there may be an issue with Windows Vista with Music Disc Creator on any version of Roxio, perhaps from recent Microsoft Updates as the program had been working fine for a long time until recently. Again, all other components of Roxio work fine except this. There is no software on the market that will do what Music Disc Creator does with creating and burning MP3 with folders and tracks in the order they are created that will then playback as created in this program. Can anyone get Music Disc Creator to open and work on newer OSs like Windows 7. 8 or 10 in any version of Roxio Creator?
  10. I definitely want to work on this as I posted same issue in Creator 2009 section- My concern after reading first post here is that this may be a Windows Vista issue from possibly recent Windows Updates as Music Disc Creator had been working fine until recently, and Clean Install and all other suggestions throughout this forum were followed. I was almost ready to upgrade to NXT 3 in hopes that Music Disc Creator would work until I read the first post here. Can anyone get Music Disc Creator to open and work on newer OSs like Windows 7. 8 or 10 in any version of Roxio Creator?
  11. I posted a thread in Roxio Creator 2009 with same problem- http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/117874-music-disc-creator-wont-open-properly/ Initially out of the blue on Windows Vista I got the problem you have with just splash screen and no start etc. Music Disc Creator had been working fine for years. All other components of Roxio work fine. Did clean install of Roxio, this time a different error that Music Disc Creator can't find file. I did a sys file check, and disc check and repair on Vista- didn't help. I'm getting afraid that one of the Windows Updates for Vista may have a conflict for some reason. I use Music Disc Creator the most and there is no other program like it. I don't know if others on newer OS's are having trouble. With NXT 3 I don't know if Roxio support would do any good. Maybe one of the good souls on this forum might have some ideas.
  12. Music Disc Creator Won't Open Properly

Your answer - "The path would be to your computer hard drive location of the files so there would have to be the drive, the folder, the subfolders, etc. If it was in one place and you moved it, that is why you are getting the error." I have no networked locations, all of Roxio program is on the main C drive and I have not moved the file, Music Disc Creator, and checked in my Program Files that it is there. Could anything else be causing it to not find the right path? I can't access it from the File Not Found box that appears as it only lists picture formats like png, and only Track Art as file type in the browse button on the right. Thanks for the Vista uninstaller for 2009, I downloaded it for future attemptsas it's no longer on Roxio/Corel site.
  13. Music Disc Creator Won't Open Properly

I posted this as well in the Roxio Creator 2009 section, but wanted to post it here as it might not be noticed in the older section. Started having trouble suddenly after years of being OK with Music Disc Creator not opening- just a flash of screen then nothing, though it appeared in system tray and Task Manager said it was running. All other components in Roxio work fine. Exported and deleted registry entries for Music Disc Creator, still didn't work. Tried opening Music Disc Creator from within Media Manager, Sound Editor, Windows Start Menu Roxio applications and Roxio Central all with the same results. Did a clean uninstall using Revo Uninstaller as Roxio tool for Vista no longer available on their website. Now all components seem to be OK but when I attempt to open Music Disc Creator I get a File Not Found box with a list of png files and clicking on OK or Cancel does nothing and I have to close box through Windows Task Manager. Any help would be appreciated. 2009 has no repair function.

  15. One specific problem with Media Manager in the post was solved. I posted on this thread because it was the most recent topic I could find in the forum about problems caused by Media Manager. I don't know yet or for how long the solution given here will work for me. The fix I've been using is cumbersome and time consuming in deleting the Registry values over and over each time Media Manager clogs up, causing a long long delay in starting Roxio Central and the crashing of other modules. Media Manager is built as an integral part of Easy Media Creator and Roxio hasn't bothered to fix it over the years as it persists in the latest version. Abuse? Yes, over the years on this forum I've gotten the same type of curt responses from Mr. Hardin as have others- that any problems must be because of user/computer errors, with him never offerning anything helpful in solutions. Telling the poster to get a new hard drive and or reformat the existing one is foolish Abuse is blaming the users for the problems who post here looking for help.
