  1. Sounds like this problem has been around for a while. Roxio is very slow in correcting problems, hard to figure how something in a previous release worked but fails in a new release. I've seen this before in Roxio releases.

    Edit Song Information

"Edit song information" is not working correctly. Only identifies two songs at a time. The rest are all classified as "no match" but I can see the correct identities roll by. To identify 16 songs, I have to make 8 separate passes leaving out each time the two newly identified songs. Previous version of Roxio would identify all 16 songs at one time. I have checked "Enable or replace tags inside the audio files". Also tried "use music ID tags" but didn't help.

    general discussion

Per Roxix support: Roxio is aware of this issue and it has been reported to the engineering team. Any updates will be delivered through the software or avaliable to download from the roxio website as they become available. The work around at this time is to load the files into Music Disc Creator and then click Tools -> Create labels and inserts, which opens the express labeler with the track info included. If you prefer to use the full Label Creator app rather than express labeler, click next twice, click edit in Label Creator. They have been saying this for more than 6 months. I think they just don't want to pay for the service because this has worked just fine in all previus versions!
  4. This is the reply I received from Roxio. Not worth a darn!! The old label crator worked so good. This was their reply on 1-14-2009. My Experience of Roxio and EMC10

Philo, just to let you know you are not alone in having problems with Roxio support. Took me two days and 2 emails and one chat to receive an answer as to why drag-to-disc was not included in EMC 10. Because it is not compatible with Vista so I was told. Roxio support (email) is usually very vague and incomplete.

Canot Make Copy Of Movie Dvd

Two steps: (1)Try copying from your disc to a disc image or DVD Video-Folder. (2) When that is done, copy from the disc image to your disc in the DVD writer. Two steps but it works for me most of the time, not every time, but most of the time. Best move, go back to EMC 7.5 and it still copies disc to disc with compression, every time! EMC 8 is bad news, esp. the update to 8.05. Good Luck.

Canot Make Copy Of Movie Dvd

Larry, you are right that the "Copy DVD Movies" is the Sonic version and "Copy Disc" is the Roxie version, EMC 8.05. However, that is the one that gives me the message, "Insert DL disc" and doesn't offer to compress the DVD unlike version 7 and 7.5. It looks exactly like version 7 and 7.5 without the option to select the whole movie or just the main movie and compression. Am I missing something???? Any help will be appreciated. I see lots of other complaints about this same problem and I think Roxio is at fault and doing nothing to correct this problem. My suggestion to anyone is not to buy EMC8 but to stick with 7 or 7.5 for the time being until Roxio addresses this problem.

Canot Make Copy Of Movie Dvd

I am trying to copy a non-encrypted DVD movie. "Copy DVD Movies" asks only for a DL disc, no compression available, It used to compress it in EMC7 and 7.5. So, how do you compress a commercial non-encrypted movie onto a 4.7 disc? That's my problem.

Canot Make Copy Of Movie Dvd

I have the same problem trying to copy a disc. EMC8 asks for a DL disc. Hope they will fix it soon. Nero 7 works fine when compressing a video. Is a lot cheaper to purchase than EMC8. Mike
