    Roxio Wants More Money!

    Hi again, I have had PhotoShow program since 2005. I paid 40.00 for it originally, then I bought the upgrades for $20.00 and then again I was forced to upgrade for another 30.00 dollars. I am Canadian and then our dollar was zilch, so it cost more. I just got the new notice from Roxio that we have to pay 40.00 per year for their new web site which I read on the forum and from myself does not work! I thought when I bought PhotoShow years ago that was all I had to pay. There was no mention of further changes and or charges to the product. Now they give us NO Tech Service, I am still waiting for my Ticket of August 5th asking five questions (I am sure they are waiting for their new service contract to run out and not answer at all!). I think they are greedy and unethical to their customers. They keep changing the rules of their product that we bought in good faith. What if I bought a pair of shoes that the store kept changing the price on after I have worn them for years? I think I will be changing to a product that I can manage myself. I understand that Photoshow Elements 6 by Windows is only $89.00, you cannot email but you have all the other features and you can look after it yourself. I have several friends who bought PhotoShow program becasue of me. I even did a demonstration on PhotoShow to our computer club were several people bought the program as well. I will not be recommending this product in the future. I am sure I have got them about 10 new customers. Disappointed, corkie
  2. Hello everyone again. I received a reply finally from Photoshow re my problem of not being able to upload and play after 11 days. All they told me was to check my firewalls and security etc. I had already done that, but I dutifully re-checked that they were all off again and NO it did not work. Never did they tell me I have to make a photoshow on line! Never did they tell me they had changed their procedure to making photoshows on line now. But after getting my information on the Forum, I did go in and try to make a show on the web site as I was told we now have to do. For 2.5 hours my computer upload 45 pictures, then when it was fininished uploading I pressed the next category, Personalize. Nothing happened, but I thought maybe it will take some time as well so just left my computer spinning and spinning, but nothing happened after two hours. So I cannot make photoshows on line either. I still got the same message of "error 354 Photoshow exe, Application error. 0X6614200 reference memory at 0X66814200. The memory cannot be read" I went in to answer my case no and found they had closed my file! So what do I do now?? corkie

    Re Photoshow Changed Format?

    Hi everyone that gave me some answers, thank you very much for that. I still have not heard back from Tech Service from Roxio, it is now 10 days!! I just read the replys re upload on site now only. Yes that makes sense, but why did they not tell us?!! I have been going around and around in circles regarding this issue since August 1, 2008. I have not had any replies for help from Ticket or Live Chat either, unless I pay money on the money line. I needed to make CD's and DVD's for a group of people at a meeting but could not. Anyway, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled TWICE and it did not help. I get a message saying that I have error "no.354 Photoshow exe. Application Error 0X6614200 referenced memory at 0X6681420. The memory could not be read". It makes sense that I cannot upload or email because they have changed the format now. I have tried to upload my photoshow and email since then several times and I watched and it goes for about 13% of the upload then stops and tells me this message above. Also if you uninstall and try to reinstall there is no site from where you can reinstall from Roxio at all. I was just fortunate to have an old install web site from the old Simple Star which worked. There is no help for PhotoShow on the Roxio site. I also spoke to someone via phone who's job is to sell the produce not service it now. I have had Photoshow about three/four years and they did not have my Licence no or my email in their "enter site to get a download place. What to do, what to do eh?? How can I get through to tell them I have the product, use the product, have a licence no, etc when no one replies, no place to put it, no entry place to put it??? I really like PhotoShow and I hope this can all be fixed, if not I will be looking for another product. Also, I have been going around and around in circles regarding my log in number and password. I have not forgotten as I use the same one for years! Sorry about all my venting, but ..... corkie

  5. Good for you UK, yes they are terrible to log in to. I tried about five times and even though I use the same password each time it told me I needed a new password as well. Their track record for help and replies is terrible. corkie
  6. I have tried to upload from PhotoShow 5 from "Manage ","Share" & "Upload" etc several times. not much happens. I see it working with the arrow at bottom of my screen, but only 13% gets upload and it then stops. I then look on my web site and it is not there and it does not email. I have gotten a message a few times saying the below, but not when uploading. I have only just recently just got this message two times when opening Photoshow 5. 9c8 PhotoShow exe "application error" 0X66814200 referrerenced memory. Memory could not be read. corkie
  7. I have been waiting for Roxio to reply to my request for help for 7 days! I cannot upload my PhotoShow 5 or email to friends. I am sure they will say "uninstall and reinstall" but I need to know the procedure of how, the line to reinstall etc. Can any of you help me. I am frustrated and mad at this program just now.
