  1. How do I transfer a camcorder-made video clip saved on a dvd to the hard drive of my PC in a format that the Roxio software will read and import?

    Burning a Video Wave Project

My son was able to copy the iso file onto an external hard drive and then onto his faster computer where he was able to burn a perfectly good disc. My computer says it has 213GHz of speed and 480 MB or RAM. Is that too slow to burn a 55-minute DVD project?

    Burning a Video Wave Project

I downloaded the Image Writer program you suggested and it actually was able to burn a somewhat usuable version of the movie although it had lots of stops and starts and the audio was unstable. But I am making progress since I was able to actually see something with the DVD player. I had my son look at your suggestions and at my computer. He thought that beside the quality of the DVDs I might have a problem with the computer itself which may not have enough speed and memory to efficiently handle the Roxio program. He is going to copy the ISO file onto an external hard drive and then try to burn a DVD on his much faster computer. I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks for all your suggestions.

    Burning a Video Wave Project

I created a new ISO file and it plays on an emulated drive in the Image Loader appllication viewing it with Microsoft Windows Movie Player. However when I try to use Video Copy and Covert to copy the ISO it goes through all the motions and tells me that it is done, yet when I insert the DVD into the DVD player all I get is the blue screen and a prompt to play but it does not actually load the menu or the movie. I've tried changing some of the settings in Video Copy and Convert but the end result is the same. I've gone through at least six discs so I don't think it is the fault of the discs. What is frustrating is that I have created DVDs before using the Roxio program but I can't remember how I did it. How can I be sure that I have all the settings set correctly?

    Burning a Video Wave Project

Walt, The project is about 55 minutes long. The VCC burn was complete. "Not able to load" means that the front panel of the DVD displayed "menu" and it said that it was loading the DVD but the display would never progress pass the initial blue screen. It wouldn't actually load the menu and DVD. I tried to play the .iso file via Image Loader but couldn't figure out how to preview the image. Am I supposed to watch the movie or try to burn the DVD from this application? Thanks, Joseph

    Burning a Video Wave Project

There were no error messages at all. I thought everything was fine, but when I put the disc in the DVD player all I got was the initial blue screen and the prompt on the machine that said menu. I am using a brand of DVD called Ativa which I have used successfully before with Easy Media Creator.

    Burning a Video Wave Project

I created a project using VideoWave, part of the the Easy Media Creator 10 software. I compiled the project from about 500 jpg images and then transferred the project to MyDVD to add chapter headings. Following instructions from Roxio I used the burn menu to Save As Image in an ISO format. I then used Video Copy and and Convert and attempted to burn the ISO file onto a disc. Although I could see the images in the preview box as the copying process proceded, I was not able to load the DVD into the DVD player. Do you have any suggestions about what to do?

Jim, I defragged the hard drive but that did not make any difference. What is VW? Joseph

    Mydvd Freezes

After working smoothly for 4 months, my Easy Media Creator 10 is acting up. While editing a project it slows down to a snails pace where I have to wait 4-5 minutes after each command. And the biggest problem is that when I add a new photo or video to the project the image will freeze. The audio continues normally but the image does not change. I have been using Microsoft Movie Maker to import the VHS format since Roxio Easy Media Creator couldn't do it; it would freeze. This combination had worked well until the last couple of weeks.
