  1. Thanks ...and thanks also, I've sent these logs off to customer support.
  2. Again thank you for these suggestions. I tried that option and a few other different options and still it closes down after it's asked me if I want to check for updates. Again I clicked both yes and now to see if that helped but nothing.
  3. I've now had some more additional information. This operating system does not meet the minimum requirements for Roxio Video Lab HD This product will not be installed. Microsoft Windows XP SP2 (64-bit) Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) Windows Vista SP1 (32/64-bit) Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate (32/64-bit)
  4. Thank you. I tried this and still no success.
  5. I'm not sure where to find all this info. Windows 7 Home Premium x64-based PC Version 6.1.7601 Service pack 1 build7601 System model SE2102 Processor PentiumĀ® Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHZ 2.70 GHz Installed Memory(RAM) 3.00 DirectX version DirectX11 Hard drive 586GB External hard drive 698GB Hitachi HDT 721075SLA380 ATA Device HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH4 1N ATA
  6. Thanks I followed those steps and also tried with my anti virus off, however this hasn't resolved the problem.
  7. I've been trying to install Video Lab HD and each time I insert the installation disc It closes down. I get the first message.. Please wait while set up loads This could take several minutes. Then I get the language option, I click on English. About 10 seconds later I receive this message... Before installing your software, we recommend checking for updates Would you like to check for updates now? I click yes I would and it just closes down. I've tried this quite a few times and I've gone with the option of not checking for updates to see if that is where it's going wrong, but still nothing. It just closes down. Am I missing something ?
  8. I have Norton anti-virus and I've just been looking at the setting, but couldn't find anything with registry cleaners. I'm not creating slide shows. I'm using Edit Video - Advanced. I have no problem selecting video files and editing them, everything works fine until I go to add background music. It's really bizarre because sometimes it works fine and then sometimes it just closes down on me. However when I get to the point where I want to add background audio, if I wait a minute before I search for the mp3 I want, it stays alive but if I scroll down the files quickly that's when it seems to close down.
  9. Hi thanks for getting back to me. I'm using the same MP3s that I've always used, there is nothing different about them. I've just been working on the program and everything was working fine (again) however having made 4 new videos with music it's now crashing again. I have been in and repaired Roxio. I'm wondering if it will make a difference if I uninstall the whole thing and start again.
  10. My audio format is mp3 and I've always used this format. What is puzzling me is how this was working fine and then it just stopped, crashing every time I try and add audio. I don't have registry cleaner running. No new software hes been installed. It literally stopped working while I was in the middle of creating video files with audio. I had created three video files and it crashed on the fourth. I didn't do anything in between to warrant any changes.
  11. Hi guys, I'm on creator 2012 Pro and I've been putting together some videos and music to create video files for the last couple of weeks without any problems. Now every time I go to add background audio the program either crashes or closes down. I was working on files Saturday (24th) with no problems then it just started to crash. I rebooted and tried Roxio repair and nothing. I don't understand why this is happening, I didn't do anything different that I was doing a few hours before it started to crash. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Which Program Do I Need To.....

Thank you guys that is perfect. What surprises me the most is how easy it is. I've been thinking/planning and trying too hard. I spent too long researching and playing around with the 'Add Overlays' in the task pane....

Which Program Do I Need To.....

Hello Sknis. When you talk about multiple overlay tracks are you talking about moving images as in a still photo that slides along or are you meaning a video clip ? Are you saying apply movement to a still image ? Are you asking me to re-size still images or re-size video clips ? I know how to re-size an image but not sure how to re-size a video clip to what you call a 1/3 of it's original size. I have three video clips all 7 seconds long that I want to play at the same time on the one screen. Pretty much like the youtube clip I posted in the original post. So from that basically I need to understand these points. How do you create an overlay of a video clip ? Is that what you call multiple overlay tracks (3 videos that fit in the same screen) How do you re-size a video clip to one third of it's original size ? All the tutorials I've found on overlays are that of still images either as the background or around the edge. Thanks for taking the time to explain these to me. Mack

Which Program Do I Need To.....

Thanks again Sknis. I'm confident with Video Wave so should be able to master this, I just need to play around more. I'll be back if I fall over or the men in white coats come to take me away....
