  1. free s/w with pro d/l

Oops, found them, they are part of the d/l image.
  2. free s/w with pro d/l

I just d/l the pro edition of toast16. The install seemed ok after a few hiccups, then registered. opened toast and see s/w under the extras tab, but it does not list fotomagico, corel aftershot, or painter essentials. So I looked for those apps in my apps folder on my hd, none listed. then I looked for those apps listed in my d/l folder on my hd and still not there. How do I get them or find them? Thanks.
  3. Toast On Mac Sierra Won't Burn More Than 15 Tracks

I have not done an audio CD in a long time, but just out of curiosity, have you looked to see if either the length of time of the audio and/or amount of data the audio takes exceeds the maximum allowed on a CD? If either one, the other or both is exceeding the limits, it may look like its doing its thing, but can't actually put all on the CD.
  4. Hd Blu-Ray Plugin On Toast 15

    1. The cost of BD versus standard discs. 2. You would also need to purchase a BD player/recorder that has the requisite BD software. The drawback to using standard discs is that they hold only a small amount of BD content.
  5. Believe it or not, but Toast does not give access to the photos app directly when you store your photos on an external HD. You must create a folder, on your DT, then drag the photos that you want to import into that folder, then you can access that folder within Toast. It has been this way for a long time. I don't know why.
  6. Edit Menu Buttons In Dvd-Video?

Kathi, Thank you for responding. The Toast community has been woefully short on people who are familiar with Macs and use Toast and are also familiar with toast on the mac ever since Tsantee left over two years ago. I've read your recent postings and you seem to have a great working knowledge which will be of great benefit to toast users. About this particular post. I read the Corel response. Seems like that would work if one wants to create new menus. I do remember several versions back where people wanted to do the same, but often wanted to edit the existing toast menus. As I recall, it was possible to do, but it required people to know where the toast menus are stored and then have a version of photoshop that would open the file for editing. I've not found where those menu files are stored. Can you assist in this matter. Thanks, Bob
  7. Mydvd Needed Codecs And Bluray

Hi, I own toast 14 and prior. I have not yet purchased toast 15. Is this your first purchase of toast? I see that you bought toast 15 pro. The pro version includes a blue ray plugin that must be installed in order to use the blue ray options. Did you install it? I have had very poor results using MyDVD. I end up using toast and setting things up myself. I see you use FCPX and IDVD and have had no problems. Here is what I would do. Take one of the files created in FCPX and open it in toast, (not MYDVD). Make sure you have the blue ray plugin installed before doing this. The fact that the blue ray option is grayed out typically means that the plugin was not installed or something when wrong with the install. Then make the selections for your DVD. Then do a "save as" disc image. I am not knowledgeable about codecs other than that some video codecs are not compatible with toast. Wish I knew more to assist you.
  8. Dvd Chapters Dont Exist Or Crash

What version of iMovie are you using. iMovie dropped support for creating chapters. In order to create chapter markers in iMovie, you need to use an earlier version of iMovie. It is possible to create chapter markers with FCP X. That sw of course costs $299.00 Read here for more information: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6775984?start=0&tstart=0
  9. Toast 15 Not Responding On El Capitan

Jim, you have misunderstood my response. I never said that I had so many coasters. My point in saying that is based upon my long use of Toast, my being in this group and reading many posts regarding many things that can cause toast to hang. In various places in the process. Many hangs, not just the burn process are caused by files that are corrupt, for various reasons. I have had very few coasters using Toast. I have been using Toast since Toast Titanium 4.0. This thread has several different issues being raised. While I applaud you for your willingness to attempt to assist toast users, you are strictly a PC user and only use PC software and are in no position to have knowledge that will actually help someone with a mac using toast. That would be like me posting comments in the easy media creator forums when I only use a mac and mac software. While it is a shame that there are very few, if any Mac users who have extensive knowledge of the Mac OS and are familiar with toast who post here, having people no matter how well intended who only use PC's and have little to no knowledge of the Mac OS and Toast, actually does a disservice to the product and those who use the product. I certainly wish that there were many more Mac users who are familiar with the Mac OS and toast who would post here. But it is what it is.
  10. Toast 15 Not Responding On El Capitan

Yes Jim, in Toast you can select "save as disc image", then I actually open the image and run it in DVD player. If that works, then I'll either use toast to do the burn or use OS X to do the burn. If that doesn't work, many times, and I mean many times, though not all the time, there is something corrupt in one of the files. using MPEG streamclip does fix or repair many files that have corrupt data or dropped frames.
  11. Edit Menu Buttons In Dvd-Video?

There was a time that one could open the Toast menu flies in photoshop and make changes and save them. I'm not sure if that is still the case. At any rate, it was/is very cumbersome. You also need to know where the Toast menu files are stored and then know where to store the edited files. It is NOT for the faint of heart.
  12. Photo Cd/dvd

I believe that you must export the photos from iPhoto/photos then you can drag/drop into toast. I don't believe you go can drag/drop the photos directly from iPhoto/photos to toast. You might want to do a small test to see.
  13. Toast Won't Complete Burn , Error 42 "too Many Files Open"

I am a Mac user and have used toast for many years. I am not an expert by any means. I use toast 14. I am using a MBP, mid 2012 with OS 10.11.6 installed. I have not d/l toast 15. I've read your posts and have questions. What are the file types that you are trying to burn? Are you using the toast app or the MyDVD app? Have you tried using the toast app and done a save as disc image? Then use Apple's burn capability? At what speed are you using for the burn? I have had to slow the speed down from Best or auto to 2x or 4x. Toast does better at burning at slower speeds. A bit off putting to some but it helps many. I have had many issues with the MyDVD app. I have found that the toast app will handle file types that MyDVD does not. Good luck.
  14. How To Completely Uninstall Toast 14?

Is Revo even Mac compatible. It appears to be windows only which in this case is not helpful. The instructions listed appear to be what you need to do.
  15. Your questions can be answered by sating that it is in the eyes of the beholder. I have Toast 10, 12 and 14. I did not upgrade to 12 due to all the problems. I have Fotomagico 3.5, 4.0 and 5.0. I use Toast 14 pro, and fotomagico 5.0. I like both. they both work well on my Mac mini and MBP. I am running 10.11.4. You can get discounted upgrades at both the Roxio site for Toast and Boinx site, for fotomagico. I think they are worth it, but as I said, its in the eyes of the beholder.
