  1. I don't know what to say, I've updated everything that needed it.
  2. I did everything exactly as written but it still fails. To make matters worse, I now have trouble launching the program without errors which used to happen before intermittently. When I launch the program, I get the error message “Roxio Easy VHS to DVD has stopped working A Problem caused the program to stop working...". Sometimes the program will still open and but then fails when I try to open a file, but other times it will just close. I wonder if I have a bad install disk? Also, you and support have been after me to update my computer but this is a brand new computer; maybe that's the problem. Is it possible there's something new in this machine that you hadn’t anticipated? I'd just like to get my money back at this point. I've got so many hours into this and still can’t use it and am past the 30 day return window.
  3. I followed your instructions but it still fails. Before doing that I set up a chat session with Dell and they took over my computer checked everything out. In the end they were just as perplexed as the rest of us.
  4. It appears I'm not the only one with this issue. Look at the posting titled "Bad Installation With Vhs To Dvd I Think"; he has the same version as I do too. Sounds like a bug to me and a serious one, 50% of the product is unusable. Does anyone know when there will be a new release? I'm past my 30 days so I can't return the product so I'm stuck trying to get it to work.
  5. The file is created with Easy VHS to DVD and I can open and burn it with Windows DVD Maker. This is a mpg file. Yes, as little as 15 seconds, same result. Edited to get responses out of the quote.
  6. I have a brand new Dell running Windows 7, 64-bit which I installed a new version of Easy VHS to DVD on. Everything works fine if I select "Record DVD" and go direct from my Video 8 to DVD, but if I select "Record, Edit and Save" and try to import a file I have saved with this program, I get the error message "Exception has been thrown by the target of invocation." I have gone back and forth with support trying to get this to work but they have no idea what is causing it. I've re-installed the program, repaired the program, made sure Windows was up to date, made sure all my drivers were up to date, created a new administrator account, shut down my anti-virus, shut down all my start up programs, tried importing different size videos and sent support my DXDiag output but it still fails. The videos run fine on Windows Media player and I can even burn them to DVD with Windows DVD maker but can't open with this program. Any ideas.
