    Roxio Creator & Mydvd 9.1 For Xps420 Abend

    I updated my reply with information obtained after performing the recommended error procedures on Sepr 20. I have not received any further advice on correcting the condition. Please advise. Thank you

    Roxio Creator & Mydvd 9.1 For Xps420 Abend

    As per your recommendation I went to the site you indicated and downloaded the subject DLL file. The ntdll.dll that downloaded was 691K versus 1136K for the original file. The original file also has a later date. I swapped the downloaded file with the original file on my computer in two different locations. I then rebooted the computer and discovered the same error condition was still occurring. I replaced the original files. I saw the error report generated by the operating system and noted that although it did indicate that there was a problem with the ntdll.dll file, after I did the uninstall and reinstall, Roxio did operate one time. The software that the suggested website recommended was for a registry scan something that I don't think I need at this time. Thank you for your efforts, please advise if you have other recommendations.
  3. I'm running the Roxio software on a Dell XPS 420 under Windows Vista. When launching Roxio, a Roxio splash screen is displayed followed by a Windows message stating "Roxio Creator has stopped working", the program then terminates. All Microsoft software is up-to-date and an update to Roxio has been installed. I have tried uninstalling the Roxiio and Sonic software as outlined in knowledge base article 000127CR and then doing a re-install. The software will load one time and then revert to the error condition described above. I also attempted the uninstall (both Roxio and Sonic) using the latest version of Revo Uninstaller (complete uninstall including registry entries) with the same result. I can't consider upgrading to the latest version of the Roxio software because I fear it would not work either.     Creator & My Dvd 9.1.573 Does Not Load

    Thank you for your assistance. The computer is a 4 gig Dell XPS 420, purchased in 2008, there is ample space on the hard drive. The operating system is Microsoft Vista, all the Microsoft software has been continually updated as Microsoft releases updates. When launched, the Roxio splash screen is displayed. Clicking on "copy" causes the ABEND and the Windows software records the error message that I provided. In the past I have run Crap Cleaner. My antivirus software is Trend Micro Titanium (and I do periodically run scans). The computer keeps perfect time. The Roxio software came preinstalled. As I mentioned, I did a complete uninstall including deleting the registry entries as outlined in the knowledge base article. I then did an install using the Dell supplied Roxio CD. The Roxio software functioned one time and then reverted to the error condition described above. The Roxio software failed some time ago so I could not tell exactly what software was installed or updated at that time. Could you please define what you mean by a full maintenance check and update.

I get the error shown below when I try to execute copy. I have attempted a complete uninstall using the six steps outlined in knowledge base article 000127CR and then a reinstall. The program worked one time after that and then the error reoccured.
