  1. OK all the background stuff... Roxio Sound Editor included with: Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus (Build 301B53B ENU) Windows Vista Windows 6.0 (Build 6002) Service Pack 2 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ Memory 2GB About 2 weeks ago, after using this program regurlarly to transfer my vinyl collection to .wav files, suddenly I am unable to edit preferences. Examples: In the record audio dialog/box: When I click on 'Options' to change the recorded file type from mp3 to wav (as an example) the program freezes. Oddly, it doesn't show as 'Not responding' in the window task manager but will just sit there. Same story for setting options when using Export Track/Clips. Clicking 'Edit' for the file format to change the bit rate and depth and file type causes the same freeze as described above. I uninstalled the program, reinstalled, got the latest update and I still have the problem. Has anyone run into this problem, if so, how do I resolve it, and if not, any ideas on how I can fix this? I'm thinking it is down to perhaps a messed up registry but that is nothing but a slightly educated wild guess. Ideas welcome. Want to get ideas from those on the board first before I contact Roxio and go through that fun.
