  1. I just bought this product (Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus) and am in the process of converting some VHS tapes and saving the MPEG files to an external hard drive. I'm doing this for some different friends so I need to make sure they'll be able to watch their videos. Is MPEG the right format for viewing on a TV, assuming it has a USB port? Thanks for any help.
  2. I apologize if this is a "no brainier" question. I am going to begin burning my VHS tapes and 2 camcorder tapes/discs. Do I HAVE to have a tv to do this? May I use my laptop screen to watch and burn the disc? Thanks!
  3. Please help my picture on my ps4 doesnt fit the tv screen properly even though i've attempted to change the resolution in (Sound and Screen,Video Output Settings,Resolution) . I'm not sure whats wrong with it any help?
  4. Hello, and thanks for reading this.... I just purchased NXT 3 and have tried 3 times to burn a dvd for a client. None of the dvd's will play on my tv. I'm using Memorex 'Printable' dvd's that I KNOW work on my tv, I've used them before. I'm using Premiere Pro CC 2014 to create the video, and Encore CC 2014 to make the .mov file. I then load that into NXT 3 and try to burn a dvd. There ate no instructions, so I just guess at what to do, but it all seems to work just fine. It burns a dvd fine, but the dvd only plays on my computer. It will not play on my tv. The Sony blue ray player jsut says "bad disk". Can anyone please tell me if there are basic instructions on the site nor newbees. It's NOT that tivial to use for the first time. Thanks a million.... Richard

    Hdmi Problems - Please Help

Hi, I've just gotten Roxio Gamecap HD Pro, and I've been try to see it up so I can play my PS3 on my TV screen while capturing on my computer. My TV only has one HDMI socket, so I got a HDMI splitter cable plug so I could capture from my TV while my PS3 is connected to the TV via HDMI cable, but the plug won't let me have more than one device (a.k.a. my PS3 and Gamecap) on at once. My PS3 connects straight to Roxio Gamecapture fine, but I can't handle the 2 second delay in playback. I've tried various things like connecting the splitter cable plug from the gamecap and the PS3 instead of the TV but nothing works. And my monitor doesn't have a HDMI input, otherwise I'd be playing it on there. Please, is there anyway around this problem? I'm beginning to think I should have just gotten the SD gamecap.
  6. Before I begin, I understand this isn't the best subforum for this topic, but all others are software-specific - none of which help. My apologies to the admins, please move this topic to the appropriate subforum if necessary. This is what I'm trying to do: What: Play XBOX & PS2 on laptop Why: Broke student with no physical TV Using: Roxio VidCap USB UB315-E v3 Running: Win7 64-bit Got my hands on a retail copy of Roxio Creator 2011 Special Edition from a family member who never opened it. I installed the entire software package only to realize there's no "Viewing" software. Software that would allow me to simply view the analog signal hooked up to the S-video/Composite plug. It doesn't exist. However, using VHS to DVD I was able to see a preview of what I wanted - so that was proof-of-concept. I uninstalled everything, restarted, and manually installed the drivers (extract contents of "D:\VIDEOCAP_USB_X64\Data1.cab", point Windows to extracted folder). I then switched to VLC Media Player and opened the Roxio USB as a Capturing Device: "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv --video-filter="deinterlace" dshow:// --dshow-vdev="Roxio Video Capture USB" --dshow-adev="Line (USB 2861 Device)" --dshow-chroma=YUY2 --dshow-size=640x480 --dshow-aspect-ratio=4\:3 --dshow-caching=0 Everything seams to work, audio & video, but there is a bit of controller-input lag. The audio & video are in-sync with themselves, but if I push a button on the PlayStation controller, there is a slight delay until VLC shows the change/action. I have tried disabling the deinterlace option and set both live-caching and dshow-caching to zero - nothing makes it 100% perfect. I remember the image quality inside VHS to DVD being much worse, but I couldn't recall if the controller-input lag was present. So, I re-installed everything. Long behold, there's no lag inside VHS to DVD. So something, either Windows or VLC, is causing this lag. It's most likely a setting inside VLC - something isn't perfectly ideal for this capture card. I have tried all the capture input settings: VideoChroma: YUY2, VidStandard: NTSC_M, ect. Has anyone encountered this problem, and/or has any ideas how to approach a fix? Thank you!

    Hdmi Not Displaying On Tv

Hi, I need a little bit of help again. I just went and bought an HDTV so I can actually play and record my games in HD, instead of using the yellow standard Def cable. But now I'm having an issue. I have an HDMI cable going from my 360 to my Roxio, and from my Roxio to my TV's HDMI input port. If I hook the 360 directly to the TV, it displays perfectly fine. But when I hook it up through the Roxio, the TV says No Signal. In the Roxio program, I have the input method set to HDMI, and despite the fact that it displays the video preview, (though it's broken, see below), the program also says No Signal. So I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Note: The attached image shows that the screen is broken in half, the bottom of the video is on top, and is only showing the left side of the screen. The top of the video is on the bottom, and I believe is also only showing the left side of the screen.

No Picture On My Tv Only Preview Window

I am trying to set up my Capture card through component cables and for some reason it is a hit or miss whether the TV gets the signal at all. The capture software always has the preview window with the xbox showing but not my tv. What is going on? How can this be fixed? Also when I tried using HDMI it was a letter box screen on my tv, Is there a way to make it widescreen like it should normally be? I would really appreciate some help on this! - Cast
  9. Ok, so here's my problem when i launch the roxio program to record and stream the software works just fine but i turn my tv to the HDMI input where my xbox is but my tv says the Roxio device is "Not supported". I have tried to unplug the roxio and from the tv and xbox and do a normal setup and it works, but I want to use my roxio to record gameplay. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN What TV I Use: 32" Vizo HdTV I also use the Roxio Game Capture HD PRO
  10. Okay, so my issue is more of a complicated one. I just got around to using my Game Cap Pro after letting sit around for a few months but I can't get it working. I've got a pair of HDMI cables and and a pair of composite cables. Obviously I use the HDMI cables to connect my TV and PC, which works fine but I can't get the composite cables to work. The Roxio Game Cap Pro uses component cables, but I don't and can't get those. To substitute, I plug the red and the white into their normal places and the yellow into the green while plugging the other end into my PS3. Here's where the issue comes in: All I get when I do this is a blue screen. I have the input on the software set to HDMI and I get no signal. The problem isn't that my TV is old either, it's actually brand new. So is it possible to fix this issue or am I going to wait until I can get the component cables?

    A Few Hiccups

I want to thank you for your time in advance to help me with my issues. I will be eagerly awaiting feedback! I've recorded some games on every console and have experienced a few issues with this device. I have had successful videos created with this product and am happy with my purchase yet these issues are now diminishing the experience. So finally, I ask for your help! I have the Roxio Game Capture Pro (NO HDMI) My Roxio game capture, when plugged into my computer and my running game console, the display on my (Dynex) television flickers on and off. This is only part of the time, so I presume it's an issue with the cables. The cable is a hybrid output for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I do feel that this cable is the culprit for this issue. If it could be anything else, what are my suspects? To a more recent and important issue: Videos play in double speed when in the production editor. Now, after I saw this I immediately thought it could be the playback speed. So I double clicked the segment, only to find that the speed is normal. After resetting the program a couple of times, there seems to be no issue. What's with the change? I've also had this issue when reviewing an entire project (multiple scenes of video from different sources) and while viewing the whole video in one segment, a snippet would be in double speed-thus throwing off the remainder of the video. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you for your time! Respectively, Joseph

    Won't Record Sound On Pc

So I have been searching everywhere for the past 2 hours and still have found no answers. I have my roxio hooked up as I type. My laptop is connected to the roxio through a hdmi cord and then another hdmi cord from the roxio into my tv. As you can see I am trying to record pc games (amnesia right now). I have a turtle beach px3 hooked to my laptop and just for giggles I put the red and white audio piece into the "output" port on the roxio. I can't hear anything. No sound from my tv and nothing on the recording. I can hear myself talk to myself through my mic and headphones but nothing else. I'm starting to think you can't record live commentary while playing a pc game. I can see everything perfectly fine and it records the picture nicely but I can't hear anything.

    Ps2 - Dark Image

Ok so when I have a 'Roxio Game capture HD pro' and I have some Playstation component cables. http://goo.gl/JeibS7 - the cables I use My PS3 setup is as follows: Playstation 3 --> Component cables (input) --> Roxio --> HDMI (output) --> HDMI switch box (output) --> Monitor/TV My PS2 setup is: Playstation 2 --> Component cables (input) --> Roxio --> Component cables (output) --> TV With the PS2 setup the image comes out very dark (image attached). I have also attempted to output in HDMI which does not output a dark image but a box appears in the middle of the screen (also attached as an image). If I connect the PS2 directly to the TV through component it works with full colour, and I can also output my PS3 through component (through the Roxio device) and have no problems it is only when I attempt to output the PS2 does it go dark. Notes: In the Roxio software the PS2 image comes out in full colour. I have also tried it without the switch box but i get the same result (box appears). I have also tried to try HDMI --> TV, but i get a purple image. I have also tried to fix the image using my TVs setting but I can't fix it.

  21. Hi there, Im useing the Roxio Game Capture, everything has been good up until to day when I started having some problems with the display, that it would produce fuzzy lines on my tv and would be in the capture display, when my laptop charger was plugged in. But when I unplugged it, the lines would go away and worked fine. So what i want to know is how can i fix this or stop this?? from happening? As for the Laptop we cant get new battery for it (as its on its last legs now) so the only way to keep the Laptop ruinning is to keep the charger cabile plugged into the laptop at all times. It cant be that hard to fix this can it?? The Laptop only stays on for a few mins without the cable in. (its my sons) The Roxio runs to the PS3, TV, then into my PC. The Laptop is not even hooked up the to Roxio in anyway shape way or form, so how can this cable being Plugged in do this? as soon as i pull the cable out the lines that were fuzzying all over the TV go away. Its really had not to have the Laptop not ruinning in the houes, and most of the time its on when i want to Game. There must be away round this. (only found out to day as the son had sch off as he was ill, so the laptop was on) So i went to Youtube and Google looking for help, and then i found someone had had the samething happen to them, but he, or they did not say about a fix tho.LInk here http://www.ugrgaming...pture/#comments I need your help, any info will help and a fix would be even better Thanks for your time, dalen6969

Wii U Capture With No Tv

Hey guys, I was just wondering if my roxio game cap would record from my Wii U even if I don't hook up the roxio to my tv. There's no reason it shouldn't, but, does the roxio record record to the pc even if it's not hooked up to a tv.
