  1. Trying to use Music Disc Creator to put together some live concert compilations. Some tracks did follow each other (performed back to back) and others were not next to each other originally In neither case can I get a clean transition without a pop. This should be easy and was in a competing product until for some reason the other one stopped accepting my FLAC files. Anyway, in audio files that were performed "back to back" it should be easy to just not insert a gap, but even when the gap is manually set to zero, or I choose crossfade, or no fade in or out, or slow fade, quick fade in or out, no matter what there is a click. I guess I could load all the files into the Sound Editor, edit all the transitions manually and then load the resulting files into Music Disc Creator, but this would be a lot of work. And I don't see any option in Disc Creator for "Disc at Once."
  2. When I import a video to Videowave editor, the last one third of the audio is deleted. The audio plays fine in my PC. When I look at native audio edit, the last one third is blank. What am I doing wrong?

  5. Audio-Video Do Not Sync Correctly

So, I am capturing video with Roxio Video Capture Version 2.0.1 (135) on my MacBook Air that is running macOS Sierra version10.12.4 Beta (16E144f). The audio doesn't sync up with the video. It appears to lag 3-4 seconds behind. Any suggestions as to I might get this corrected? Thanks, MP
  6. When I put several songs into Roxio Edit Song Information and load the songs in , highlight them and hit identify it comes back with either No Match or some unknown song. My compute at home works properly any ideas why gracenote is not identifying the proper songs or matching
  7. Hello! I've been using Roxio for many years, and just purchased NXT5 a few days ago. I created a Videowave project using .MOV files, and when I tried to export the project (in several different formats), they all had the same issue - the audio didn't sync with some of the shorter video clips in my project - it was delayed. The playback, however, on the preview screen in the Videowave project editor has perfect audio. Any ideas? Thank you, Dominique.
  8. Hi, I recently bought a new iMac and updated my Toast 7 to Toast 15. On my old Mac I could record LPs and cassettes on Spin Doctor with the help of Griffin iMic Audio interface. But now that does not work well..... actually it does not work at all. The sound into the computer seems ok. On Toast Audio Assistant I can see "iMic USB audio system" under Devices. But there is no sign of life when I try to record. Nowhere to find anything to adjust the volume in. Did I miss something in settings in my Mac or in the software? I am grateful for any help. Spin Doctor was great and I do hope to make this work as well.
  9. By any chance can you help me with the same problem? Thanks

  11. Looking at old threads this appears to be an old and common problem with Creator NXT Videowave audio. I've been looking for workarounds and trying to determine the root cause – The problem – using “Add Background Audio” in Videowave or “Change Menu Audio” in MyDVD the program crashes as soon as it tries to access a folder containing audio files. Background to the problem – It has been getting worse over the past year or so, starting with crashing occasionally to now crashing every time. I think it started, but I'm not sure, when I upgraded my desktop from Windows 8 to 8.1. It was eventually crashing every time with 8.1 and I have since upgraded to windows 10 with no change. First workaround – in Videowave I can of course open file explorer and drag a file into videowave. I can't do that with MyDVD – I used to have to move all required files to a Windows XP or 7 machine to carry out audio work. (Note – I have several disc copies of Creator NXT bought for a photography group – the problem exists with ALL copies when installed on my desktop). Another workaround - I have recently discovered the following - if I remove all my audio files from the folder normally accessed by Videowave and put them elsewhere, then open Videowave or MyDVD, open the required file, then replace the audio file(s) that I require for this session to the normal folder, Videowave and MyDVD can then successfully access these files. Furthermore, if I then close and re-open Videowave or MyDVD and then re-open the required file the program again crashes when attempting to access the files. So, if there are no files in the relevant folder when the Videowave or MyDVD file is opened, any files subsequently added to the folder, while the Videowave or MyDVD file is still open, will be accessed successfully. Has anyone any idea what the root cause might be – NXT frailty? (there are other minor audio and other problems not mentioned here!!!), Windows? (NXT used to work OK with Windows 8 and initially with 8.1 and the same copies work on my other Windows 7 and XP machines), my desktop? (I have no other problem with it although I appreciate NXT is more complex than anything else I use). Would an NXT upgrade to NXT4 help? Cheers Dave
  12. No Audio In Sound Editor

I've got Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus installed, and have been recording video for more than a year with no problems. It still records video, with the audio, with no trouble. The problem comes when I want to record ONLY audio. Now that I'm trying to use Sound Editor to copy over my old cassettes, I can get no audio playback or recording whatsoever. I have tested the cassette player with headphones, and I get sound then, so the problem is not with the machine itself. I have tried making the Roxio line (USB input) the default device, I've maxed out the volume on the device, my computer, and inside the sound editor but I get only dead silence. The wavy sound lines also do not appear so it's clearly not getting any input at all. I have tested this on 2 separate laptops (Vista, and windows 8) to no effect. I tried an open-source audio recording program (Audible) but could not make the sound work there either. I have even tried using the VHS-DVD software to record it (though the video portion would obviously be blank) but there again I got no sound. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what's going wrong here.
  13. I'm on Win10, when I upgraded to the new OS I discovered NXT3 was no compatible. I switched back to Creator 2010 and all was good and then it died after about 4 months. I ordered NXT4 on disk. The disk was corrupted and would not install properly. I contacted customer support for help on the install, the "expedited" contact I was told they would request took a week for them to respond. By then I decided to try the download, the download worked. NXT4 was up and running. Today I tried my first video and "Houston we have a problem". I wanted to add a narrative - the microphone under the screen shot - the playback was in hyper-speed - Chipmunks I can't find a way to correct the speed of the audio dub. Any suggestions?
  14. Im trying to use the videowave to edit a commentary for my channel. I usually use my astro a40 headset as a mic. I plugged in the headset and hit the microphone icon in videowave. when the Narration window pops up i hit record and then start talking. After i hit stop and try to listen to it, it shows the audio clip in the editing section but when the video plays over that part there is no sound. All i hear is the gameplay, no voice over. How do i fix this?
  15. Voice Capture

Hello Roxio Community. I was wondering if there was a way to record my voice with the game that I am recording. I have the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. Previously, I have been using Audacity to record my voice because I couldn't get both my voice and the game to record together. This is annoying though because I have to go and edit the voice from Audacity into the video and it is hard to get the voice perfectly on point with the video. So my question here is is it possible to record them both together through the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro from some setting that I can not see. Thank you!
  16. Using Video Wave I have imported a video file in avi format. It plays fine in Video Wave. However, I then try to Output the file as a mpg or another format and the resulting files plays but the audio stops after about 2.5 minutes. The video is fine but the audio just cuts out. I have tried two different output formats with no success. This is Creator NXT 4 on a Windows 10 PC. Does anyone have an idea as to what is causing this? I even tried NXT 2 and it does the same thing.
  17. Audio Lag After Uploading To Youtube

  20. Crash When Click "stop Capture"...

What happens: - Capture seem to running just fine - When done, I click "stop capture" - Roxio Capture crashes - Two files are left, an m2ts and an mp4 (it's usually just an mp4 file after rendering) - First time I deleted the m2ts file as the others were mp4 - Now I find out that the mp4 file's audio is messed up (no sound, just buzzing all the way through - tested in videowave and premiere pro, media player rejects the file) - Video/images is fine and dandy from start to end - Happens when capturing from ps4 and randomly - happened with 54 min and an 1.h10min video Now I'm going to test 2nd software to try and recover the lost m2ts file - in the meantime, I hope there's someone out there who can tell me if I can save this!
  21. Anyone successfully used this combination? I've got an S-cable hooked up directly to the camera into the Roxio adapter. Great video, but no sound. The sound only comes out of the camcorder and I can't find a setting to override it. I've tried from the control panel to make the audio come through the speakers without the Roxio software and unsuccessful there as well. I suspect it's a setting on the camera, not the Roxio software because I can easily record VHS without an issue. I have the camera set to AV out for audio output (and tried the other setting too but still doesn't work). Anyone have a tip?
  22. Roxio Game Capture Hd Pro Setup Help!

Hello, So i have been trying to set up sounds so that my roxio game capture records it. So basically i have this setup. I have a Asus G750JS-T4064H Gaming Notebook (HDMI Wire Output from Capture Card) Acer G246HL Abd 24-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (HDMI wire from monitor to capture card imput)Acer Aspire V5 Touch Notebook Turtle Beach Headset X12 Roxio Game Capture HD PRO Do note that my monitor does not have any speakers at the back. I am trying to record my Gaming notebook. However I have no idea how to set it up despite looking at the manual countless of times. 23. Hi there, I am having an EXTREMELY hard time with my new Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. Let me 1st tell you a little bit about my setup. I have a 65" LG 3D TV (Not relevant) and a 7.2 surround sound setup run from an ONKYO NR-470. My issue is I tried running my PS4 to my amplifier, and tried to tie in the Roxio from the HDMI out to the tv. I get perfect video; however, 0 audio. I then tried placing the Roxio between the AMP and PS4, meaning now the cable runs from my PS4, to the Roxio, then from the Roxio to the amp. I am able to get the sound to my PC this way; however, the Roxio is downgrading all sound via the HDMI out as 2.0 channel sound, which is not acceptable from a 5.1/7.2 audio source. My questions are a mix bag but I will try to explain them. Can the Roxio HD Pro output more than 2.0 channel audio via the HDMI out port? Why can the Roxio only collect audio from the PS4 directly and not through an amp? (Tried amp output in PCM and Bit Stream to insure it was not an audio trans-coding issue) My TV accepts audio via the HDMI out port on the amp so I know it is no fault of the audio equipment. I was very exciting to receive this product in the mail and now I am extremely disappointed. What is worse is the authorized reseller I purchased this from went out of business last Saturday morning so I cannot return it for the same product or one from the competitor (Futureshop). I have already invested so much money in an extra monitors, a condenser microphone, and a good set of headphones so my daughter and I can start a youtube channel together. I hope you can help.
  24. Greetings, I had no problems with the RGCHD at all untill today. Maybe because of the update that I installed on my PS4 I don't know, but here is the problem. I can get good quality video but no audio at all. When I try and set the resolution on my PS4 while having the Roxio connected it states the following. 420p 720p (Unsupported) 1080i (Unsupported) 1080p (Unsupported) I have no qlue what happened cause like I said untill today I never had that problem. And when I disconnect the Roxio and hook my PS4 directly into my TV I am able to select the resolutions no problem. I hope one of you can tell me whats wrong cause I would love to have audio while recording. P.S. I have tried the Roxio on my PS3 to see if that would work, and that does seem to work for me.
  25. In my production I have a narration track. When I click on the Edit Volume Envelope button, I get the option for moving the volume up or down at any point with the green line. I want to use the original (native?) audio from one of my videos. I found options for adjusting the volume within the Internal Track. It allows me to mute or fade in or fade out as well as gives a numeric slide. But I do not see an option for the volume envelope where you can actually see the sound (in yellow) and then manually adjust the volume with the green line. Is this not available? Is there another (better) way to use the original sound for a video and then have the ability to regulate the volume? Thank you for the help!! Larry
