  1. Darnedest problem with converting LPs to Digital: although I've used Roxio previously, since upgrading to NXT 5 I get no "live" monitoring when attempting to capture audio. My connections are good. Plenty of horsepower under Win 10. I can actually see the meters in operation picking up the signals... just no audio through my headphones. Aside: I've just had to refresh my Win 10 OS. Any possible link there? I'll appreciate any and all help you may provide. Thanks
  2. So as the title suggests, I am trying to set up a capture from a gaming console to my PC. I can get the image to show in OBS on the PC (albeit without sound, though that's another issue for another time) but not on my monitor. The specifics of how I have this set up are listed below: Console: Nintendo Switch -> Roxio HD Pro - > Laptop & Monitor (Acer G205H) The cable being used from Roxio to the monitor is an HDMI - DVI cable. The monitor should have HDCP support (This link claims it does: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/720993-REG/Acer_ET_DG5HP_001_G205H_Special_Edition_20.html). If going directly from the Switch to the monitor, the video shows perfectly fine. From Roxio to the monitor, however, the screen is generally black. I say "generally" because a couple of times it flashed an "Input not Supported" message before turning black. From what research into this message I've done as it relates to Capture Cards, it seems that this is due to a resolution issue. I've changed the native resolution of the Switch to test all three of its options (1080p, 720p, and 480p) yet none of them worked, and considering that going directly from the Switch to the monitor works, I do not believe that this is a resolution issue (though I could be wrong). Not sure what the cause is here, so I would really appreciate some guidance/help before going out to buy different wires or HDMI Splitters or w/e else comes to mind to test this and end up just wasting money. Thank you. ~Dys
  3. Hi, I recently bought this for my son, so I'm a bit unsure about the technical aspects! He uses a Samsung monitor with a HDMI input only. I bought the necessary component cables for the PS3 and also a component & audio to HDMI converter. So the map is something like this; Component & Audio in > PS3 Component & Audio out > HDMI converter HDMI converter > HDMI input on monitor I'm getting no luck with this set up. Where am I going wrong? Any help greatly appreciated, or else my 11 year old will not be happy! Thanks!
  4. So i have the latest version of Roxio HD Pro software and when i connect it to my Xbox one it works and then I put the Roxio software on my second monitor it still works but wont record so then I put it on my first monitor and it will record but then i can't see the software. I have 2 monitors in extended display on my pc.
  5. I recently got a second monitor for my PC, I decided to hook it up to my Xbox. I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter cord (amazon brand) so I could view the game on my Samsung PC monitor, it works fine. But when I plug it into my Xbox, setup correct and all, HDMI from the Xbox into the capture card, DVI-HDMI Adapter cord to the viewing port so you can see it on your monitor, and the USB. I set this all up, it works fine, my preview window shows the game, it says ready to record... but when I try to use my PC monitor to play the games on, I is just pitch black, any help? Thank you.

Hooking The Hd Pro To A Monitor, Help.

So i recently bought the HD Pro and found out it didnt come with anything i needed, besides the usb to computer cord, that wasent a issue since i have a monitor instead of a tv, so i bought all the items i needed, Component cables, Little accessories that convert a HDMI cable to component, and 2 things for the back of my screen that convert hdmi to DVI then VGA, i got it all setup and it does work, except the fact that i cant see my xbox on the screen, Since i use the same screen for my computer and xbox, it doesnt come up at all except on the Roxio Capture. So does it just not work with the same screen? or are you SOPPOSED to play it on the Roxio Capture cause theres a #$^@ 2 second delay, A'int Nobody got time for that. So please help, if you would like photos, i could send some of the setup.

    Monitoring Lp Music

Just started using Roxio Creator NXT 2. I am having difficulty finding where to monitor my recording from LP. I am using a ION model iTTUSB turntable, which obviously connects using a USB port. Steps that I am doing are Start NXT 2>>>click Music/Audio tab>>>click Digitize LPs and Tapes>>>Roxio Sound Editor opens. Now I can record a piece of music but hear nothing till I stop recording and then use playback what was just recorded I can then of course hear it. Well I need to hear what is playing while it is getting recorded. How on earth in this software do you do this. Currently to be able to hear what is getting recorded I have to open "EZ Vinyl Tape Converter" and go to "step 2" to monitor what I am recording on "Roxio Creator NXT 2". This is going to lead to a conflict at some point I'm sure. I can not believe there is not a "Monitor Recording" button in this software like there is in it's competitor Nero which I have used in the past. Can anyone answer this relatively easy question which I am at a loss to find. Because for me this software is then completely useless without a monitor feature. Of course the answer is probably right in front of my face but I do not see it. lol If anyone could help, it would be appreciated thanks in advance.
  12. Hey, So I play ps3 and I've had my roxio game capture hd pro and been using hdmi as an output and component as an input but on a tv but lately I decided to buy a Asus VN247HP which is 23" and I was wondering can I still use hdmi as an output if I plug hdmi directly into the monitor from my roxio game capture hd pro? Please reply asap as I wanna get a monitor this weekend at a computer market
  13. Hi, I bought my Roxio Game Capture HD off Amazon.co.uk. It arrived two days ago, I plugged it in using the HDMI cable and hoped that I could make a gameplay and upload it to my YouTube channel. Then I realised that Xbox 360s don't support two outputs at the same time. (I'm using a monitor as my TV using the Xbox to VGA cable) so I went and bought a HDMI to DVI to come out of the Game Cap to plug into my DVI socket on my monitor. I can see and hear the Xbox screen in the Game Capture software (with some delay) but as soon as I go to the DVI input on the monitor I just get a blank screen, It is picking up a signal because it isn't saying 'No Signal'. I just get a black screen. I have tested the cable by using my HDMI output from my computer, and plugging it into my monitor. It is just the Game Capture going to the monitor that it doesn't like. This is the screen on my computer: Thanks again, Ben.

    Extending Monitor Glitch

So, I finally fixed the issue with the HD Pro and my desktop, all it took was reinstalling Windows ("all", being sarcastic). Now that the HD Pro works with my desktop, the recording is great; it never glitches like it would with my laptop, which I am still looking into fixing because that solution was a bit more versatile considering I record my PC games with the Roxio. That aside, there's an issue with that that I haven't seen addressed anywhere else in the forums. I have two identical 1080p monitors, both are connected via HDMI to my graphics card, though only one is hooked into the HD Pro, alongside my PS3 and Xbox (with a really great setup including a HDMI switcher, so that I can switch between the 3 devices with a simple press of the remote). The one that is hooked up to the HD Pro is the one I have the audio coming out through. With this setup, I decided that it would be a good idea to extend the displays so that the Roxio Game Capture software would always be displayed on one of the monitors at all times so that I could record at a moment's notice. The problem with that is, that unless the program is displayed on the main monitor, of which I use for the gaming, IT DOES NOT WORK. Here's what happens: Program is displayed perfectly normal. Press "Start Capture" It works for literally 1 second before the preview screen flashes, though the "Start Capture" DOES turn to and stay at "Stop Capture". "Time Elapsed" is stuck at 0:00 When looking at the footage, you get a 1 second video clip before the flash and all that. (for some reason, in Windows Explorer, it always says the video file is like at least 15 hours long though, even if I immediately stop the "recording" afterwards. Despite that, the clip is still 1 second.) When I move the program to the other monitor and record, absolutely no issues. I have no idea why it would do this, I don't believe there is any reason it should either. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

    Setup Using Hdmi->Dvi-D

Hi there! Problem: Roxio records fine onto Laptop and picture displays in HD, but no signal to monitor to display video, even with manual monitor input selection (it also has VGA input) My connectors are as follows: XBOX 360 HDMI Out -> HDMI Roxio HD Capture Pro IN ->HDMI Out -> Apple Branded HDMI to DVI-D (Dual Link) Adaptor -> DVI-D (Single Link) cable -> Samsung 2232bw Monitor DVI IN. + USB Roxio -> USB Vista Laptop Extra Info: -My Xbox works fine connecting the monitor via the DVI HDMI adaptor setup directly without the Roxio -Video output fine using another display when DVI adaptor not in use with direct HDMI output (with and without Roxio) I know this makes it seem like the Roxio will not work with a DVI adaptor, but this post seemed to suggest otherwise, I just couldn't work out how to do it! http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/83745-hdmi-input-to-hdmi-output-to-hdmi-dvi-cord-for-pc-streaming/ Thanks for your help, Max

    Second Monitor

1.I use Creator 2012 to transfer TIVO recordings to DVD. In the past I put the Media Selector screen on a second monitor. I am now using just one larger monitor. The Media Selector screen still wants to display on the second monitor. 2. I installed the old second monitor, moved the selector screen to the new first monitor and recorded a DVD. 3. The selector screen still wants to display on a non-existant second monitor. 4. Is there anything I can do short of uninstalling and reinstalling the software? Thank you!
  17. I'm going to buy the normal capture card, and 20 inch HD monitor, and a gateway computer. If I have my xbox hooked up to my monitor, and not my TV, will I still be able to record it? Thanks in advance.

  19. Hey guys. I recently purchased a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro. The question is, how would you be able to set this up with a VGA monitor? It's a Viewsonic, that's the name of the VGA monitor. I really don't want to spend a lot of money to try to make this work. Do you think this would work? I just don't have the USB on my VGA. Thanks. I only have one DVI output on the back now. Can it work with this? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/eForCity+-+HDMI+to+DVI+Cable+M/M+-+6Ft+-+Black/4655674.p?id=1218501031356&skuId=4655674&st=HDMI%20to%20dvi&cp=1&lp=8

Setup Help - Using One Screen

Hi, I'm new to all this. There's a chance I'm making a schoolboy technical error. I use the same TV for both my PC and my Xbox, as it has both VGA and HDMI inputs. I simply change inputs via my TV remote depending on which of the two I want on screen. Simple. However, I think this may have something to do with my problem. I'm connecting my Xbox 360 to the HD PRO, and sending the output - naturally - to my television via HDMI as well. The PC is currently connected to my TV via typical VGA. I thought that this would only be a minor niggle and that I could simply hit 'record' from the HD PRO software, tune my TV into the HDMI, and play my game on-screen whilst the software ran in the background, off-screen. Apparently not; I am having a WEALTH of problems. First of all, the software is picking up absolutely no connections from my Xbox at all, I simply receive a 'No Signal' error from the capture screen. Connecting the Xbox directly to the TV, changing my settings to any of the compatible video formats, and then reconnecting my setup like before doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference. Switching my TV between HDMI and PC inputs doesn't hep the issue either - if anything my television seems to spazz out, flickering manically and generally having a rough time of it all. I've tried reinstalling both the software and drivers, different HDMI ports, even swapping my two HDMI cables around, all to no avail. I can only presume that having both the HD PRO software and the Xbox console both being viewed on the same device is causing conflict. Will I need seperate screens for both my PC and Xbox? It's not a deal-breaker if I do, but it certainly is a bummer. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
  22. I was under the impression there was some way to make this work. Is it possible, or was I mistaken? Right now, I play my PS3 on my PC monitor through HDMI (Samsung 2494HM monitor). I switch between my PC and PS3 display by switching from HDMI display to Digital (DVI). My monitor also has an analogue input which I have never used, appears to be RGB. I don't care about 1080p, but I would like to be able to capture screenshots and video. I do of course still have my PS3 analog-component cable. Here's an MS Paint drawing of my situation. It's not drawn here, but I get audio through earbuds coming out of the 'Audio Out' port from my monitor. So, what are my options, if any? My main question: Can I use a component video (YPbPr) to HDMI converter like this one: http://www.amazon.co... hdmi converter on my PS3? Or is there some HDCP-compliance issue that will prevent that from working? Basically, would this setup work?: Any help would be appreciated. Especially any PS3 users who have used a component video-to-HDMI converter, if the HDCP compliance or whatever messes it up or not (I hear it's different for PS3 than X360, so please only those with experience using one with PS3 respond).
