  3. Sigh! Yesterday and the day before I recorded/captured a couple of VHS videos. Worked fine. And this morning I continued the work from yesterday, and guess what. "No video signal". Win10Pro and EVD3 Plus.
  4. Hi, I bought the Roxio Game Capture so time ago and it worked for a couple of videos. But all of the sudden it came up with a green "No Signal". And after searching on google, I found no help. So I decided to make a forum post (which I'm doing now). As previously mentioned I get a green "No Signal" and a black screen in the recording area, and when I start the recording the program does not respond for a few seconds and then the display flickers with an unstable image and wont let me stop the recording. I have attatched a picture and hope it can help in resolving the problem. Cheers, Lasse

    No Signal

I use a HD PRO and I recently have been having some problems with it. It is giving me a green "No Signal" light when I go to record my game as if my cable isn't in. Now I do have all the updates that the software permits as well as making sure the cables are in properly. I can see the game on my TV screen just fine. But I cant see it or record it on laptop. I use a Windows 8 laptop which ive recorded and uploaded from before 90% of my recording has been on my ne laptop. It just started doing this maybe a month ago id estimate. I hope you can figure out a solution please help!

    "no Input" Problem

I'm trying to capture footage on my PC using my Roxio. It's worked just fine for a long time and it's suddenly not working... well, it's working in the sense that the signal from the HDMI cords goes from the computer tower, through the Roxio capture device, and to my monitor just fine, but the program itself just says "No Signal" which makes absolutely no sense at all. I'm not trying to capture footage of a console, I'm trying to capture footage of my computer games, it's worked just fine up till now. I've already tried repair several times, even with my anti-virus protection off, I assume the HDMI cables are just fine since the signal does go through to my monitor, the Roxio itself doesn't seem damaged and this was all worked just fine the other day, what happened? Here are my computer specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.140303-2144) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. I have the exact same problem where when I adjust the resolution bar and suddenly I get something, but it comes through all glitchy and broken. I have no idea what to do, please help me. http://forums.suppor...o-signal-issue/ Again, I'm trying to capture footage OF my computer, ON my computer, not a console.

    Signal Protected

I've set up my Roxio to record some PlayStation 4 gameplay, everything is set up correctly. However where it says 'status' is reads 'signal protected' and the capture button is grayed out so i can't record. What does this mean, and how do i get around this problem?
  10. Hello, I have had my Roxio Game Capture for a few months. I have installed it on my Windows 8 pc, and it worked like a charm. I made several videos, and uploaded them to youtube already. The only problem is, whenever I open up my roxio application, I have no signal. I have to unplug the usb, and plug it back in, then it works fine. --But, this weekend, I did not get video signal from the roxio. I unplugged - replugged, nothing. Tried different usb ports - nothing. I have uninstalled and re-installed roxio game capture several times already, nothing worked. The video cords and all that are installed properly. Could the usb cord just of gone bad? - When it first did it, I had video, but it froze. I unplugged - replugged, Now there is no video at all. But I still have audio. - please help

    Setup Using Hdmi->Dvi-D

Hi there! Problem: Roxio records fine onto Laptop and picture displays in HD, but no signal to monitor to display video, even with manual monitor input selection (it also has VGA input) My connectors are as follows: XBOX 360 HDMI Out -> HDMI Roxio HD Capture Pro IN ->HDMI Out -> Apple Branded HDMI to DVI-D (Dual Link) Adaptor -> DVI-D (Single Link) cable -> Samsung 2232bw Monitor DVI IN. + USB Roxio -> USB Vista Laptop Extra Info: -My Xbox works fine connecting the monitor via the DVI HDMI adaptor setup directly without the Roxio -Video output fine using another display when DVI adaptor not in use with direct HDMI output (with and without Roxio) I know this makes it seem like the Roxio will not work with a DVI adaptor, but this post seemed to suggest otherwise, I just couldn't work out how to do it! http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/83745-hdmi-input-to-hdmi-output-to-hdmi-dvi-cord-for-pc-streaming/ Thanks for your help, Max

    Protected Signal?

I am trying to record with my PS3 hdmi. It says "Status: Signal Protected". I can see the video on the preview screen but not my tv. I put the 2 hdmi cables in right. Can anyone tell me why this is? I got it working by not having the roxio program opened on my computer. When i opened the program and click the button that says capture my tv screen turned blue and now it says no signal. I guess fixed is the wrong word. More like got rid of it and started a new problem. How do I fix this one?
  13. I just received my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro in the mail and I cannot record. It says in red "Signal Protected". When I am in options the drop down menu for profile is grayed out as well as the capture button. Can anyone help? Then when I play around with settings and unplugging stuff it changes to signal: "No signal" in green. "No signal" in red. And sometimes "ready" in green but only for about 2 seconds, then it goes back to "Signal Protected"
  14. Alrighty, I'll just start from the begining. I first hook everything up, which was basically taking all the cords from the older non HD capture card and plugging them into the new HD one, plug in my HDMI cords, from ps3 to card, and another HDMI cord from the card to my TV. Install the software on my laptop and plug it in and never seen any error reports or anything. Now my ps3 and x-box are set up correctly, as I was using the non-HD capture card with no problems ( I just never really used it cause I like my HD) I boot up the program and right away I see in red text 'Signal Protection' and looking through the help text I've found nothing on it. I also noticed that the video had 3 second lag to it. It showed up fine on my TV. So I did the sudgested steps of turning off any anti-virus software and run the repair through the cd. I also checked and the software is version 1.1. Now when I opened the program, I get no signal. It still works through the TV, just my laptop sees nothing. Image below is what I currently get. I would be very thankful if I could get help on fixing this, cause for $120 it better work. Thanks! ~Aythadis Youtube Account

    I Get A Red No-Signal.

I'm so confused... First of all, it is 9:37 pm where I am, I started working on this at 1:30 p.m. I have uninstalled reinstalled, re hooked the cords up and all that crap 7000 times!!! Please help me, it has a red no signal sign!! Also I noticed that I don't have a second Roxio GAMECAP in my device manager. PLEASE HELP!!!!
  16. So, I just got my Roxio GC HD Pro, (which I didn't order from this website) and I'm getting genuinely mad at this piece of hardware. My situation: I'm normally plugging my Xbox into my monitor, which doesn't have an HDMI input, only DVI. So my setup is as follows: Xbox ---HdmiSplitter ---HDMI---> Roxio GC HD Pro | ---Hdmi to DVI converter --> Monitor If anyone suggests checking the cable connection, I'm gonna ragequit and just send this back. That suggestion never helped anyone. When I start up my Xbox, my monitor doesn't display anything until it eventually lights up for one frame, showing a correctly displayed Xbox dashboard, and then return to showing nothing. It lights up about once every 5 minutes. In the Roxio Game capture HD Pro Software it says "No Signal" while displaying some strange lines which just flicker across the window. (Strangely, those lines cannot be picked up by screencapping, which is why I can't provide screenshots.) Those lines appear to be small parts of a correct image. I checked my settings but I can't find any property related to the problem. The Gamecap HD is shown in my Device manager and I already tried uninstalling the device and then repairing the installation. I have tried this both on Windows XP x86 and Windows 7 x64, same results. Might be related to the Xbox as it adjusts to the output (HDMI / DVI), which is pretty pointless, because to my knowledge there's no need for conversion between the two formats. If you need additional information, just ask. But please don't suggest things like "Make sure you powered on your Xbox". Makes me rage...

    Signal Protected On Xbox 360?

So i bought my hd pro and set it up and it worked perfectly fine for about 2 hours, then the visual input went and i only got sound, so i restarted everything and i got the signal protected message, with no input at all to the tv, and some fuzzy lines on the preview screen. I have tried changing lots of settings and reinstalling etc. i also tested it on different computers. There seems to be no fix for signal protected on an xbox???? I am starting to think that my hardware is broken... Any help will be greatly appreciated as i am thinking of getting a refund after a week or 2 of trying to fix the problem.

    No Signal (Green)

Hello everyone, my name is Tim and i have the following product (Roxio Game Capture HD Pro). Everything was working fine untill I placed my computer from my desk to the ground, when I start up the program and click on the big Capture button it starts normally but it says No signal in green bold font, my cables are connected to the roxio HD capture device but the only light that also is on is just the power light, not the HDMI or YrBrPr. I have tried to update the software but there isnt any update and also tried to re-install the software with no succes, I have tried google, youtube and even support to find a solution for this problem but with no luck. I hope one of you guys/gurls can help me with this. PS: I have read that you have to install the software without the cable connected to your pc I did that but also with no luck. Tim

    No Signal Anymore

Hi, I recently got Roxio game capture and I tried it yesterday and it worked fine. At first there was no signal but when I changed the TV settings to NTC_M it worked and I was able to capture game footage. However, today I have gone to capture some more footage as another tester but there is no signal whatsoever no matter what TV setting I put it to. The audio is not coming out as good either. I have searched all over the internet and cannot find an answer. Can anyone help me as I really want to start using this software. Thank you in advance for any advice given!

    No Signal And No Display

I have set up everything correctly; hdmi going from roxio to tv, hdmi going to xbox to roxio and USB plugged in correctly. I've tried different cables, different ports, changing the Xbox resolution and even tried it on my PC but still no luck. I get a "No Signal" message on the GameCap recording software and also I'm unable to view my xbox on my TV. I even see the driver "Roxio GameCap HD Pro" when plugged in so that's fine. I'm not sure why this is happening at all and this is the main problem. I also encountered something else similarly related. So the first day I got it I was eager to try it out. My current setup is a monitor and a splitter which has my PC and Xbox running through that so I can easily switch between viewing the Xbox and PC on my monitor. I installed the CD, connected all the wires (first with the splitter, I plugged one of the HDMI from the roxio into a spare input slot on the splitter) and I turned on my xbox and I got no display on my monitor but when I switched to the PC (where the USB was plugged in) I saw the recording software said "ready" and I saw my xbox! But I wasn't able to play because I couldn't see my xbox. So I decided to change that and do it directly. I plugged in everything again this time without the splitter (so monitor > roxio > xbox and USB into PC). This time, I still got no display and, obviously since my PC wasn't plugged in I couldn't see if the recording software had shown signal. But its ok, I had one more idea. This time I brought a laptop in, and did the same thing except plug the USB into my laptop, not my PC, So I could view the recording software (I had installed it on the laptop too). But, of course, still no signal OR display. I eventually got bored of this and decided to fix it later so I re-plugged in my old set up with my xbox and pc into the splitter with an output to my monitor and decided to play some xbox. Except now my xbox didn't show any display. I believed the roxio has screwed up some settings on my monitor so now I couldn't play xbox on my monitor until I fixed it (I even tried direct, without the splitter but still didnt work). So I tried my xbox on a TV instead but it still didn't work. I had one more TV downstairs so I tried it and to my amazement it worked! So then I thought, if it's working I can try to set up the recorder and that's when the first part of this post comes in how I tried to set it all up but it didn't work. Ultimately I want to be able to make it work with the monitor but first I have to figure out why I'm getting No signal, or no display/preview on my tv.
