  1. Okay so basically just got my Roxio super excited I set everything up and went to capture then to stream. And something popped up like a message saying that Roxio program has seemed to stop working or whatever and it tells me to close program. It keeps doing this every time I press stream and login to my twitch... Please someone help thank you!
  2. When I switch to 720 it defaults to 1500 kbps, but when I try to change the bitrate to anything higher or anything lower it jumps to 7500 kbps and the only way for me to change it back from 7500 kbps is by changing from 720p to a different resolution and then back to 720p.
  3. Before I begin, I understand this isn't the best subforum for this topic, but all others are software-specific - none of which help. My apologies to the admins, please move this topic to the appropriate subforum if necessary. This is what I'm trying to do: What: Play XBOX & PS2 on laptop Why: Broke student with no physical TV Using: Roxio VidCap USB UB315-E v3 Running: Win7 64-bit Got my hands on a retail copy of Roxio Creator 2011 Special Edition from a family member who never opened it. I installed the entire software package only to realize there's no "Viewing" software. Software that would allow me to simply view the analog signal hooked up to the S-video/Composite plug. It doesn't exist. However, using VHS to DVD I was able to see a preview of what I wanted - so that was proof-of-concept. I uninstalled everything, restarted, and manually installed the drivers (extract contents of "D:\VIDEOCAP_USB_X64\Data1.cab", point Windows to extracted folder). I then switched to VLC Media Player and opened the Roxio USB as a Capturing Device: "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv --video-filter="deinterlace" dshow:// --dshow-vdev="Roxio Video Capture USB" --dshow-adev="Line (USB 2861 Device)" --dshow-chroma=YUY2 --dshow-size=640x480 --dshow-aspect-ratio=4\:3 --dshow-caching=0 Everything seams to work, audio & video, but there is a bit of controller-input lag. The audio & video are in-sync with themselves, but if I push a button on the PlayStation controller, there is a slight delay until VLC shows the change/action. I have tried disabling the deinterlace option and set both live-caching and dshow-caching to zero - nothing makes it 100% perfect. I remember the image quality inside VHS to DVD being much worse, but I couldn't recall if the controller-input lag was present. So, I re-installed everything. Long behold, there's no lag inside VHS to DVD. So something, either Windows or VLC, is causing this lag. It's most likely a setting inside VLC - something isn't perfectly ideal for this capture card. I have tried all the capture input settings: VideoChroma: YUY2, VidStandard: NTSC_M, ect. Has anyone encountered this problem, and/or has any ideas how to approach a fix? Thank you!

    Livestream Won't Start

So I tried to live stream today and i made a twitch.tv account and logged in and did everything in the roxio live streaming video tutorial and when i hit live stream the capture software says live streaming but my twitch account is staying offline how can i fix this issue? my internet is plenty fast and i even tried with 240p so its not i'm to HD, I also dont have any of the live streaming software that twitch showcases on its website do i need those or does roxio have everything i need?
  5. hey im having an isue with my roxio HD PRO capture card, for some reason any time I try to get it in obs, xsplit, or even a screen shot it shows the actual game capture as just a purple screen, as seen in this photo. but to game capture its self was not purple, this is what it actually looked like. I had to take that one with a cell phone, but you can see there is actually a game in the game capture. I have tried it with disabled aero and enabled, so that doesent seem to be the issue. my graphics card is the gtx geforce 750 ti if that matters, I had a cheaper MSI card in before did the same thing so i dont think thats the issue. As much as i would love to use the build in streaming for roxio HD Pro, im pretty sure we all know the issue with that, trying to stream to twitch.
  6. Hi. I've owned a Roxio since August of 2013. I've surfed hundreds of Roxio forums looking for a single answer, but have been disappointed every time. I've finally come to a conclusion, and if you hear me out, you'll learn something. In mid-December, Twitch.Tv changed its stream settings, which threw both Happauge and Roxio's software out-of-whack. As you'd expect any company to do, Happauge promptly updated their software, while Roxio sat back and watched gamers everywhere become frustrated. A forum poster by the name of Jim_Hardin has attempted to provide support to many users, in fact, nearly 33,000 posts worth. I've read almost ALL of his posts. They're nothing more than snide comments against helpless users convincing them that it's a problem with their computer, their Roxio unit, or their internet. NEVER has he said it's a problem with Roxio. I'm starting to get fed up with this guy, in fact, I hope he sees this. I hope he knows how I see him. I assume he's collaborating with Roxio, if not working for them, to steer the company clear of any problems. I've sent several emails to their so-called "Award Winning Customer Service", only to be left out in the cold with no reply every time. Roxio simply dropped support for their capture devices and software, and choose to lie about it instead of take action and put their claims into action. If you're having problems livestreaming, don't worry, it's 100% NOT YOU. Roxio is at fault here. I don't care if this gets taken down, I'll keep posting this until it is seen. I hope Roxio sees this, I hope Jim_Hardin sees this, I hope everyone sees this. The truth needs to be told.
  7. Hi, is it possible to add an image to use as a watermark in one of the corners when you're streaming the footage live? Thanks in advance.
  8. Ok I just took the GCP outta the box. Plugged all cables in correctly. Also installed software onto computer. I can get a video and sound signal on the tv. But the Roxio software doesn't see the GCP. My Xbox uses component cables (Old Pro System). So i don't have the option to use HDMI.
  9. i have jst seen the standard version of the roxio game capture and want to get it but i have a few questions . the monitor i will be using only has hdmi and vga as inputs can i still use the stadard version of the roxio game capture ? i am getting it to stream more than anything else . can someone tell me besides the roxio game capture device what else i would need ? many thanks dan
  10. OK EVERYONE I HAVE HAD THE ROXIO STANDARD EDITION FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW.. AFTER 6 MONTHS OF STREAMING AND RECORDING FROM MY PS3 I FIND IT IS A GREAT DEVICE AND VERY EASY TO USE.. HERES HOW TO STREAM AND/OR RECORD USING A FREE ADOBE PROGRAM.. FIRST GO TO ADOBE.COM AND DOWNLOAD THE FREE ENCODER. THE NAME OF THE FREE PROGRAM YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD IS "ADOBE FLASH MEDIA LIVE ENCODER 3.2" ONCE YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAM OPEN IT UP AND CHECK IT OUT. IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO USE. YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS. STREAM TO A SITE, SAVE TO YOUR HARD DRIVE, OR BOTH. IF YOU WANT TO STREAM YOUR LIVE GAMEPLAY AND NOT RECORD IT TO YOUR HARD DRIVE FOR LATER VIEWING, EDITING OR UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE, SELECT JUST "STREAM TO FLASH MEDIA SERVER". IF YOU WANT TO RECORD YOUR GAMEPLAY AND STREAM IT AT THE SAME TIME, SELECT "SAVE TO FILE" ALSO. IF YOU ONLY WANT TO RECORD TO YOUR COMPUTERS HD FOR LATER VIEWING, EDITING OR UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE SELECT ONLY SAVE TO FILE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO STREAM, YOU NEED TO GET THE STREAMKEY AND PASSWORD FROM THE STREAMING SITE OF YOUR CHOICE. THE SITES I KNOW OF THAT SUPPORT REMOTE BROADCASTING ENCODERS, SUCH AS THE ADOBE ARE: www.blogTV.com www.livestream.com www.ustream.com On the streaming site of your choice make an account and look for REMOTE BROADCAST options in your account settings and follow the easy instructions.. You wil create a PROFILE on the ADOBE LIVE FLASH ENCODER for each site you wish to broadcast on, then to start your stream you just select the proper profile for the site you want to stream to. As far as recording and uploading to youtube, which is what I do about 75% of the time, thats alot easier.. All you need to do is SAVE TO FILE the game you want to upload. Then go to your youtube page, select UPLOAD and upload the video file to your channel. A 40 minute game video takes approximately 12 minutes to upload and another 15 minutes to complete processing before it is available for viewing. This is is DEFINITELY the best way to use the ROXIO GAME CAP STANDARD EDITION with the PS3 System, and if you have a slower or less than ideal processing ability computer, ITS 100% THE WAY TO GO.. While the ROXIO SOFTWARE included with the GAME CAP is very powerful and full of options, it requires a VERY FAST CPU, with great processing speed and lots of RAM memory.. Many computers dont have this. So give it a try.. Download the ADOBE program, make an account on blogTV.com ; LIVESTREAM.com & ustream.com and mess around with the settings in the flash encoder till you figure em all out... Its really quite simple.. And works GREAT. Here are the links to my channels.. http://www.blogtv.com/People/Capricorn-777 http://www.youtube.com/user/capricornphoto2?feature=mhee im actually going live now at 2:45pm est 1/21/2013 and i will demonstrate some streaming with the ROXIO GAME CAP on my blogTV Channel, capricorn-777 I will also answer any questions I can in the TEXT CHAT ROOM to the right of the video feed.. You can either make a free account on blogTV to chat, or you can type a guest name in the yellow box at the bottom of the TEXT CHAT window.. Come on over I will be streaming MADDEN12, Madden13, NCAA13, Gran Turismo5, Call of Duty: BLACK OPS2, MAG, Battlefield3 and more!! Tune in now!!!
  11. Ok, so basically I just got this product which I have tested and it works great (although still need to improve quality settings). So I wanted to ultimately stream the game play footage IN REAL TIME to my iPad. After research, to do this I released I needed an app to view the laptop screen in real time (which after testing works well) So all I need now is a way of streaming the xbox game play footage to my laptop in real time (ie. without the 2 second delay as with the software). I have seen this being done with the roxio here: (however have not quite found out how he does it yet (claims to use a webcam like recorder called AMCap but couldn't get it to work after testing) My laptop supports USB, VGA, (and another laptop HDMI out (to duplicate laptop screen) but not mine so not ideal for long-term) . My local tech shop where I got the capture card said this would solve the problem: http://www.maplin.co.uk/pc-to-tv-box-223833 but not convinced I need another piece of hardware! Also this might be relevant (in FAQ section): Can I use Roxio Game Capture HD PRO to play live games on my computer display? Yes as long as your computer display can take HDMI or Component input. Instead of connecting a TV, you can connect your computer display as an output with Roxio Game Capture HD PRO device so the video can be passed through in real time to your computer display. You still need to connect the capture device via USB with a laptop/PC for recording though. The preview in the Capture software has about 2 second delay as it is required for the hardware to process the video. Please could anyone help!
