Just yesterday, I managed to finally fix my particular problem I had. You can see what I went true to fix it at the link below. You may get some ideas too, from browsing the various threads in here. The folks here are a helping group.

EMC 9 is bran new, off the press, so yes it has some issues, some bugs, but the Roxio folks keep telling us they are working on resolutions that should be available soon. Do not despair.
Cheers!

No guarantees, but perhaps manually registering the module would work. You may get another error during the registering that may help in narrowing down the problem.
Open the WinXP console (Start/Run, type in cmd).
In the console window register the module by typing exactly as shown including the quotes:
Note any error or failure codes (if any).
Other thoughts, make sure you have administrator's rights during the install process. Turn of any antivirus, anti-spyware/adware software you may have.

Try searching for it on your hard drive, I'm 99% certain the file is distributed with the Suite install disk. If you find it note the location and modify the regsvr32 command to reflect the different location. If you are successful, see if the other two files can be registered the same way.
If you can't find it or it won't register, then I'm going to say something is going screwy during the install of EMC and not all your files are getting extracted and installed properly.
Do you have the latest Windows Installer (3.1 v2, Sep 2, 2005) installed?

If you've registered all 3 problem files (you mentioned 3 files in post #7) and you're still getting errors, then there's a problem with your EMC9 installation process and this is not the end of problems like this.
You may have some success with cleaning up your Windows (virus/spyware/adware scans, registry cleanup, install all Windows updates) then trying a repair install of EMC9 (Add/Remove Programs, click on EMC9, click on the "Change" button, check the "Repair" box).
Otherwise it's time for an EMC9 uninstall, cleanup and reinstall. Use your unzipped install files this time around and make sure they were extracted into their subfolders ("Use folder names" option in WinZip).

You wouldn't happen to have IE7 installed? If so, remove it.

Glad to hear you finally got it sorted out.
Yes they are. There have been posts for weeks all over the forum here regarding it, that's why there is a post pinned to the top of the EMC 9 General Discussion area. Basically, IE 7 is still a Beta product. Once MS releases IE 7 is when it will be compatible with EMC 9.

Very good. You may want to consider an EMC9 repair install just to clean up any loose ends you haven't run into yet.
Roxio tells us that EMC9 will be compatible with IE7 when it comes out in final form. I had problems myself with IE7 beta2 and EMC8 (no buttons in MyDVD) so I removed it and have never gone back.
