When I had read in a previous thread about adding an additional account and launching EMC9 from there I thought, well, worth a shot. So I did, and added an icon that pointed to the VERY WELL NESTED .exe file. It worked and I thought "super!". Well, the next day I launched from the new user account - and all my old problems were back.
What I did - a "clean reinstallation" (remove all Roxio and Sonic programs, deleting files, registry cleaning, etc). I then re-installed EMC9 -- AS THE NEW USER -- and have not had any issues since. I make it a point not to even try launching from the original "owner" account.
Did I miss something about establishing the new user account? I didn't recall seeing anything about re-installing from the new account, only using from it. Or should this really matter?
