I have just installed Easy Media Creator Suite 9.

In Label Creator 9, when I try to insert any picture onto the label the program crashes.

As soon as I select "Add Image" the windows directory appears and the program crashes. Windows says Label Creator encountered a problem and needs to close. What I see in the file is: AppName: RXLabelCreator9.exe, AppVer: 9.01.33, ModName: dccctrl9.dll, ModVer: 9.0.1.68, Offset: 0000dfe9.

If I select “Don’t send” the application error appears and I see: instruction at 0x010c0228 use memory address 0x00000000. This memory can’t be “written”.

When I close this one, I receive: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and I see: “Runtime error!” program: c:\program files\roxio\label creator 9\rxlabelcreator9.exe   R6025   Pure virtual function call.”

I am running Windows XP Home Edition with SP2.

I was using before Easy Media Creator 7.5 and everything was working fine. A have made a “clean” install to be sure to remove any part of older versions and have used a registry cleaner to remove any entries that may refer to the removed applications.

I have had the same problems and I was also running 7.5 before with no problems before.  When I hit the upgrade the screen directs me to "Surething CD labeler".  I have upgraded to this for $12.00 and it runs almost identical to the Label Creqated in 7.5.

My gut feeling is that the labeler on V9 is a cut down version of label Creater and this is a chincy way for users to buy the "Surething CD Labeler.

:) I have tried many things to correct my problem for the last three weeks but nothing changed. If I try to add a picture in label creator, i continue to receive:Windows says Label Creator encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have paid for this program. I have sent the complain to Roxio by e-mail but nobody seems to be interested by this problem...

Can you give me some suggestion...

I too am having MAJOR problems with this piece of crap software.  My most recent issue is exactly what you are describing.  I have tried everything under the sun to fix it and have not had any success.  I have had nothing but problems since I upgraded from 7.x.  any help with this problem would be great.  thanks.

I too am getting this.  If I try to add any pictures in Label Creator, it bombs out with the error as described above.  I don't even get as far as selecting the pictures.

I have tried reinstalling EMC9 but no joy.  I guess I could roll back to EMC7 but as I've bought the software I think I should be able to use it.

If anybody has a fix for this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well folks it looks like you are having similar problems as I am with this bit of software. However my program crashes when I try to select a "paper type". As with you guys v7 worked fine. I have done three re-installs, but have been unable to use this part of the software. Trying to contact Roxio is like trying to plait smoke - does this company really exist ???
