EMC9 stability? help plz EMC9 and temprament

i have just installed EMC9 2nd time and i am having the follwing problem , can any body help plz ?, when i launch disk copier , creator classic , my itune programme window also opens up, i find EMC9 very tempermental it frequently freezes, also my capurting device PX-TV402U seen by EMC9 (meida import) but when i select for capturing either the programme freezes or get no signal message (this device is connected and i can capture in in intervideo programme)also this device is on roxio compatability list ,(can i run emc8 & emc 9 side by side/ and is ther any update to EMC9 ? gratitude to all replies / many thanks

iTunes may be conflicting since it can burn CDs. I wouldn't try running iTunes and any EMC9 applications at the same time. Make sure you have the latest iTunes (7.0.1). Also make sure your video and audio drivers are up to date and DirectX.

Thank u for that Russel / i completely uninstalled itunes and it seems to be working ok and bit quick responsive (keeping my fingers crossed) now b4 i reinstall itunes could u plz tell me how can i stop itunes invoking when i m running EMC 9 /manythanks /
