Looking for help in sizing digital images, particularly for using 'zoom' function.  I have heard that dpi is important; I have heard that total pixels along the long side of image (2000) is important; I have heard that total pixels along the short side of the image is important.  HELP!  What is your experience with digital image size for still image and 'zoomed' image for use in DVD or VCD production??

Thanks,

Pictures in a slideshow on DVD are going to be 720 X 480 (ntsc) no matter what you do. I do not believe that dpi ever enters into it.
