I installed EMC 7.5 and the latest update for it on a new notebook. The storyboard freezes after a few minutes and I have to reboot my computer to get EMC to load again. There is a discussion of this problem at http://forums.suppor...hp?showforum=39. This seems to be a recent problem that may have been discovered on new computers that came with XP sr2 installed. I am thinking of buying version 9, but don't want to waste my money if the problem exists on version 9. Has anyone had this happen in version 9?

I haven't had this problem in 7.5 or 9 but as you saw in the other posts, if you have the problem now, you're likely to get it again. As was stated, EMC9 requires more horsepower than 7.5 did.

Patti posted under Storyboard Freezes and has found the solution to the problem.

Norton AntiVirus was turned on when the program was installed and the program didn't install properly.
