I have reinstalled and reimaged twice and each time I install roxio 8 or 9 I get the Media Center receiver error that pops up every few minutes. The error is cinemasterAudio.dll conflicts with ehrecvr.exe. If I rename the cinemasterAudio.dll the conflict and constant error goes away but I my MCE TV is disabled. I have an ati all-in-wonder x1800xl and an ATI HDTV wonder that works great in mce or movie maker 2 until I install roxio 9. It seem to be the codec. I tried to custom install roxio 9 but the custom is very limited on what you can deselect. I can't figure out what peice of the roxio suite is disabling the MCE TV. I even installed Ulead video studio 10 and it works great. If I uninstall roxio 9 then the MCE TV works. It been over a week and the Roxio support has not respond to my request for help are they always this slow? I have googled this problem and it appears to be a common problem with the cinemaster software even before roxio purchased it. Does anyone know how to uninstall all of the cinemaster software/codec? I was going to purchase the roxio suite for all my pc's at work but with all the problems I have had and what I see on this forum and the lack of support. I have my techs evaluating NERO. Unless I can figure it out soon I guest we will go with NERO.

Have you tried calling support? You'll probably get a faster response that way. Just use the Contact Support link from EMC 9's Support Page.

Another person reported this same problem and seems like he also had ATI video card. It is more likely a conflict with the ATI software and Cinemaster. I have an nVidia card with a Happauge TV card in my MCE machine and haven't gotten this error.

Calling support just cost more money. Why should I send more money on a product that they don't support within the first few months. Looking over the forum it appears I am not the only one not getting support. My techs are liking NERO and with out good support I won't invest in the product. My guess is Roxio make more in pay for support than they do selling the product. Too bad it look like a good product but poor support will put them out of business. By the way do you work for them?

It could be an ATI conflict with roxio and I have a open ticket with them. ATI responded very quickly and is working on the problem too. My tech say NERO works better with less problems. I liked all the extra features in roxio but if I can't get it to work we will buy 50 copies of NERO. I can't beleive Roxio can't answer a simple question as to how to uninstall some of its componets such as cinemaster. It appears from the forum they want you to call the pay for service to help debug there beta ware. What erver happen to quality products.

You know that for a FACT? Did you try?

THIS IS NOT TECH SUPPORT. And no I do not work for Roxio. I'm a user just like yourself. If you look at the EMC9 support page, here is the support page. I don't think Roxio is charging for stuff like this. The only way you will know for sure is to call.

No, like Gary said we are fellow users of the software trying to offer helpful suggestions. Any Roxio employees would be designated as such by the Roxio logo and title (Moderator etc....)

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about Roxio's support. Did you actually try the link I posted? It will take you to a toll free number just for EMC 9 at this time. Most likely there will be no charge since it's a new product. That's the way it's been in the past, for those who have taken the time to at least try that route.

It also sounds like this is for a business that you are looking to get something. If that's the case, you might be better served to contact Roxio about a business purchase/support plan. I'm sure it would be a lot different than the mass market offerings available.

Just a FYI I was struggling with this fora while so I unregistered cinemasteraudio.dll and the problem went away but I could not hear audio from DVD's. I found somwhere someone mentioned removing ULEAD software fixed it. I checked and I had ULEAD Studio Demo installed. I uninstalled it and it fixed everything.
