I want to schedule a backup but the software keeps rejecting it unless I supply a password, which I do not want to do.
Please help.

Hi Katz,
I don't have Deluxe 2006, but in my version of BUMP there is a checkbox which controls the use or otherwise of a password.
When backing up you have a My Computer type screen showing your drive(s) and asking you to select what you want backed up. The bottom half of that screen concerns the destination for the backup.
About the middle right of the screen between the source and destination panels on my version there's a 'More Options' button.
Clicking on that and then selecting Backup / Password I'm brought to the screen with that checkbox and with boxes to type and verify the password I want to use.
If you can find the corresponding screen in your version, unchecking that password box should cure your problem.
