I'm trying to burn a DVD directly from the camera. I get this message "The current device is not compatible with Plug and Burn. The capture device is a Sony Digital Imaging Video2. Is there a fix for this?

Only if it comes from Sony…
P&B is dependent on the software being able to control the camera. If the camera does not respond to the software, there is nothing that can be done.
Not too many folks use P&B. It requires a really good PC to handle the massive data flow and most have some scenes that they would like to tweak a little before committing to burn.
My camcorder (Canon) does not support it, but even if it did, I doubt I would ever use it.
