How do you re-install a program...NXT 2 pro. There was an error message stating I needed to uninstall and re-install

Typically, simply re-run the install program, either from the disc if you ordered the physical disc, or from the downloaded file(s).

Maybe a mute question but did it start to install and then back out of the installation with the error message ?

it said I had some component missing...forget what it was now since I un-installed. Are the downloaded files still on my computer now that I have uninstalled it?

Yes, your downloaded files will not be deleted by uninstalling the program. They will still be where you downloaded them. Especially since you backed them up to DVD. (hint, hint)
