At first it can install but crash when it runs,
clearn out regitries of all ROXIO and SONIC, and this time CD Key not accepted,
run the EM9RMV.exe, key accepted, but installed program still fail,
remove EMC8, and registry again, this time at all most end of the install ,
this "Please insert disk error" come out and have to cancel and restart again,
try different combination of removing registry, Windows Clean install, update latest windows installer
and remove of IE7, all ends up with same result.
Very frustrating indeed.
Any One Can Help? Thanks!

You can start by listing your system specs, similar to how I have them in my signature. Also what else you are running for burning software.
Also, if you have the beta IE7, get rid of it.

One other suggestion is to increase your RAM. 512 doesn't give you enough power to run intensive video work.

No InCD installed. I have not got the point to run any video yet.
the problem is in installation. the funny thing is it used to install OK but just
not run properly, but after several attempts of cleaning up for clean install, this
does not work any more, the strange thing is why the installation is asking for
inserting a disk? I show another post about the same message in installing EMC 8,
but he solves the problem by running installer cleaner and Roxzap, but this does not
help me at all.

First, remove all Sonic/Roxio products using the Control Panel. Then remove these folders if they still exist:
C:\program files\roxio
c:\program files\sonic
c:\program files\common files\roxio shared
c:\program files\common files\sonic shared
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Roxio
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sonic
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Roxio
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Sonic
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Roxio
Then remove any IE cookies with Sonic/Roxio in this folder:
c:\document and settings\username\cookies
example:
username@activation.roxio[1].txt
username@registration.roxio[1].txt
username@www.roxio[1].txt
username@www.sonic[2].txt
Then use a registry cleaner to remove any entries that may still exist. RegSeeker works well and it's free. It has a function to search for a string like 'Roxio'. Remove any entries that refer to Roxio or Sonic. BE CAREFUL! Removing other entries could seriously affect how Windows runs.
When finished, REBOOT the computer and reinstall EMC9.

I got it working finally last night. I tried all these cleanup thing, but still does not work.
I finally copied all the files from CD and install from Harddiks and everything went smooth.
