I just bought and installed emc 8 this week. After I built this pc I couldn't get 6.0 to work right. When I used 6.0 I was able to add files to a cd but with 8 I am allways forced to put in a new cd. This is not working for me as I tranfer files by cd often.

You'll need to provide us with some more info  if you want suggestions. There are a number of apps and ways to burn data to CD's in EMC 8, so you need to tell us which one you are using, and what settings were used.

I have always used creator classic and when I wanted to add a file to a disk I would be asked if that is what I wanted. That does not work now. I tried using data disk and this does not work either. I would be happy knowing just one of these number of ways to burn a data disk that I could add to.

Uncheck the box by "Read Only" in the the advanced burn settings, when you burn the first session of your CD.  That makes the CD appendable.

That does not make any difference. The read only box was unchecked. Without this fuction the program is pretty much usless for me.

I have no clue why it won't work for you, because it should.  Try a different brand of media to see if anything changes.

Also, make sure your firmware for the burner is up to date.

I hope I get my rebate.. I tried the Photo Suite on my Athlon 2800+ laptop and it is crazy slow. It also wants to keep getting out on the internet to report to home.
