I have installed EMC9 (and 8 previously), on a computer that is networked.  After installing I no longer have an internet connection.  this happens after each install.  I then installed it on the main computer of the network but am unable to use it from the 2nd computer.  Any suggestions?

I don't think either version is designed to be used over a network. You can install it on a networked machine and use it on that machine, but you can not use any networked resources or run the application over the network from the second machine.  As far as I know, there is nothing in EMC that would cause the net connection problem.
