EMC7 worked fine the last time I ran it (about a month ago), but when I tried to run it just now, it kept terminating with C++ runtime errors. Roxio's troubleshooter said to activate the appropriate services in msconfig, and if they're not there (they're not), to reinstall. So I turned off my antivirus and ran "repair" from my install CD, which terminated at a certain point with:

Internal Error 2920
RcACWRAPPER 1036.blahblahblah

...and rolled back the reinstall. Now what do I do? What a pain in the a** this program is.

You said it worked the last time you used it. You need to try to figure out what you did to your computer since then.

Could be anything between spyware update, virus update, Microsoft update or a new program. Maybe you can try a system restore.

That doesn't explain the install error I'm getting when I try to replace the missing services.

Uninstall and reinstall the software. If you can't uninstall it, use the Microsoft Cleanup Utility to get rid of all Roxio and Sonic entries, reboot, and try the install again.
