I have been using EMC 8 and recently purchased and installed EMC 9. When I would try to start CinePlayer or CreatorClassic an opening page would show on my screen followed by a gray window and then that would disappear and the program would never show up.

I uninstalled EMC 8 and did a repair of EMC 9 and still have the same results. Those programs did start in EMC 8.

I use a Dell P4 about 9 months old and rarely have much of a problem with software. Can anyone shed some light on my problem. Thanks

Frustrating isn't it. :) Try this. Make sure you follow the instructions exactly. I have used this in both V8 and V9 when I lost Music Disc Creaotr. It might work for your problem. Keep a copy handy just in case.

I did retain a copy of that registry change just in case I need it in the future.
However it did not solve my problem, I am sorry to say. In fact no application from EMC9 will launch.

I should say that I am using IE7 RC1 and perhaps that is my problem. I have read the comments in the form about that.
But when I uninstall IE7 it appears to return to IE6 but the toolbars are not complete and I can't even do a cut and paste so I had to reinstall IE7 RC1. I do have Firefox and I wonder if I might be able to use that browser and forget IE for the time being. Some things don't work properly in Firefox. And I am at a loss at the moment as to what did not work.
I may try that and see if that allows EMC9 to work for me.
Thanks so much for your help. Evidently I have more than just one problem
