Hello,

I have a burning question (no pun intended). Two problems really:

Problem No.1

Whenever I open MyDVD9 this message comes up 'My video card is an Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family. The maufacturer is Intel corporation. My video card might be out of date. Visit the manufacturer's website to download an update.'

I have visited the manufacturer's website to download an update but when I try to install it, it just wouldn't happen. Error message comes up with 'not able to trust the source', which I found quite strange !!!

Problem No.2

I recently purchased  the EMC 9. Everything was fine at first, burned some DVDs, quality was good.

However when I try to burn the DVD after a few minutes I get the error message ' The current output device was removed. Error while encoding movie 2'.

My computer specs are as follows:

-DELL DIMENSION 3100

-PENTIUM 4/531 WITH HYPER

-1024MB RAM

-GRAPHICS CARD INTEGRATED INTEL MEDIA ACC

-GENUINE WINDOWS XP HOME SP2

-DVD +/- RW (READ/WRITE)16X Manufacturer & Model HL-DT-ST DVD+/-RW GSA-H21N

I burn music videos which are originally in the MPEG format but sometimes it doesn't recognize files in the asf format.

Can anyone help with these problems please?

P.S. I have tried to download the drivers from the Intel website but the following error message "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please  obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacture. Set up will exit."

Problem 1: When you get the error, will it not let you continue anyway?  Sounds like a firewall or browser message.  If you're sure that you're not being phished, and it lets you, download the update anyway.

Problem 2: sounds like you may also benefit from a burner firmware update but I've not seen this message before.  Post your system specs please.

Problem 1: I did not have problem downloading and installing the update from Dell. Did you download it from the website of the maker of your PC?

Did you check to see if you need an update for your burner?
As for the error message, it seems like it is a browser problem since Jess can download it (I didnt' try) so you can ask someone else to download it and give it to you or I suggest downloading Firefox and use it if you're using Internet Explorer.

Is that an internal drive, or an external USB connected drive?  The only time I've seen an error message similar to what you're reporting is with a USB connected device.

Internal drive

Back to your original post, the error was: "However when I try to burn the DVD after a few minutes I get the error message ' The current output device was removed. Error while encoding movie 2'."

Do you have any USB connected drives on your system?  And if so, are they set up to be the temporary storage for either Windows or EMC?

Any luck resolving this error message?

I get the same thing on my brand new Dell laptop.

I have found if I move my mouse every minute or so during the burn and rub my hand in circles on my head in one direction and in the other direction on my belly... I don't get the error message.
