I just got EMC8 and attempted to test its lightscribe feature. I know my Lightscrine drive works as I have used it before with Nero. This problem may have nothing to do with the drive at all maybe. I went to the Label Creator, chose Disc, and under Add Image everything is grayed out except for Scan Image. Is there something wrong with my version of EMC8 or am I just doing something wrong....
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Roxio doesn't natively support Lightscribe. What I mean is that the Lightscribe System Software is not part of it.It will write to Lightscribe discs but you need the system software first.Go to Lightscribe.com and download and install the latest version and then see if you can use it.
When I got my new drive it came with Nero which I chose not to install. Before I could get Roxio to burn a Lightscribe disc I had to install the Sysytem Software. This lets the drive communicate with the burning software.

I did instal the software provided. When in Roxio Label Creator if I click Help->LightScribeDiagnotstics my drive comes up so Roxio can see the drive as being LightScribe ready.
