Will Not Record After Recent Update

Question

An update came out not too long ago for RGC, but i was reluctant to update untill today. Before the update, The program worked fine, afterwards however, there are a number of things wrong with it. First, it will constantly change my signal status regardless if I do anything. Secondly, before recording, the status will say protected, even when recording on my xbox, which does not have HDCP. Lastly, when clicking the record button, the program will become unresponsive for a second with a black screen over the preview window, then return to normal without recording anything.

I HAD the same problem as OP. When I freshly installed the software and immediately updated to SP2 the software crashed my PC at start up unless I disconnected the USB and didn't show any output. A new reinstall and updating to 1.1 and then the next patch for it followed by SP2 fixed all issues I had with the software abd it;s streaming as well.
