No Idea How To Explain For The Title.

Question

So, I'm using my VideoWave that I got with roxio game capture HD pro. I've used it for a while, but it's really frustrating me now.

Sometimes, when I put videos into the timeline, I split the track, and after around 5 mins of no response, it does split and the new track has a big red (no entry) sign. From then on, it takes 10 mins of no response for the damned thing to work! I spent 4 hours last night trying to do something that should only take 30mins. So the question is, how do i get the video to work properly, whithout the (no entry) sign coming up?

Btw, my computer specs are:

 

processor: AMD FX™ - 4100 quad core processor

4.00 GB of RAM (3.75GB usable)

64 bit operating system

 

But like I say, it usually works fine but in some circumstances it doesn't. I've tried re-opening the program but somethings wrong with my video. and i've also tried re-installing etc.

Do you run a registry cleaner?

 

Some antivirus softwares have one.

 

They kill Roxio Software and you need to repair or reinstall.

How much free space on your hard drive?

 

Have you tried with just a short clip of a minute or two to see if the program still works?

 

since the program worked the past,some update (automatic or manual) may have corrupted the software
