I am on the G5 dual and I am using Toast 6.0 Titanium...I have successfully burned mp3 files as data on a cd to listen to on my mp3 stereo in the car but it won't play. The file names show up on the player screen but then it will automatically skip to the next song, until the end of the cd. I know its not the stereo because  my other mp3 cds work just fine. It must have something to do with the settings and I have no clue what to do! I tried burning at a lower speed (12x) but that didn't work. The mp3's were from a bought cd that I converted to mp3 files so it can't be that. If anyone can help that would be awesome!

What did you use to create the MP3 files with?  Did you use the extract funciton in Toast or some other application?

It was a bought cd and I used iTunes to convert it to MP3 files. I have done it before and I didn't have a problem so I have no idea why its doing this all of a sudden. I thought it might have been the brand of cd but I tried it with a couple of other brands and it does the same thing. I also tried burning an mp3 cd at work (I have a G5 dual there also and I used Toast 7) and it did the same thing. Im completely puzzled?

Choose MP3 Disc as the format in the Toast Audio window. If you choose the Data window you have to burn the disc in ISO 9660 format. Also, update your version of Toast to 6.1.1. Lots of bus in version 6.0.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I choose MP3 Disc as the format in Toast Audio window. I tried that at home and I tried it at work using Toast 7 and the cd ended up the exact same (skipping every track). I will try again just to be sure and I will download Toast 6.1.1 thanks for your help, hope this works!
