Hi,

I have been using version 6.1.1 of toast and version 7.0.1 of Quicktime in the past to create DVD slide shows of portrait proofs with music and everything was working good then.  I crop my photos to 9x12 which seemed to be compatible with the NTSC/PAL video format.  I can not remember what the video format dimensions were at that time.  However, it was a ratio simililar to 9/12 which equals .75.

I have continuously upgraded Quicktime and now have version 7.1.3 installed.  I made a DVD proofs slide show in motion pictures yesterday and the result was that when played on a DVD player my photos were compresssed in the verticle direction of the TV screen.  I went into motion pictures and the NTSC/PAL video format was 720widthx480height, which works out to 480/720 and equals .667 and is not the original ratio of close to .75 that motion pitures was initially using.  Do I need to customize the video format?  If so can anyone help me figure out the video format width and height to use.......I tried 720x540, but it is still not quite right.  Do I need to upgrade to toast 7, which I have, but would rather not till I get this project finished.
The Quicktime movie plays fine on quicktime.

Thanks,
        Deb
