When I try to drag or load VOB files in Videowave or Cinemagic, I get a prompt telling me to click the Filter for Media Types button?  I've tried everything. ( ? ) What Button?  I also get a message saying the media cannot be edited.  I've tried taking it directly from the DVD+RW disc as well as the saved VOB files in my documents.

This would seem to indicate that the VOB file is nonstandard or at least not in an editable format.

Some details as to the source of these files would be useful. If from a Recorder/Camcorder, they may need to be finalized by that device to be usable.

You could try another trick, rename the VOB extension to MPG. It works in many cases.
