which one is better / mini-dv or hard-drive video camera / please let me have your thoughts / pro n cons / thank u /

Having not used a hard drive video camera, I can't say from experience but I think you're better off with the mini dv over the hard drive.  Price wise, you're better of with the mini dv version but it looks like Samsung has done some good things with flash memory.  It may be some time before it's ready but they plan to offer a 100gb flash drive to replace a hard drive and laptops, handhelds and cameras are their first market.

My vote is miniDV too. You can always bring extra tapes and they are readily available in convenient stores. I am not familiar with hard-drive. Is it easily replaceable in case of malfunction?

Yes, I think DV is better too just because you can replace the tape with a blank one once your tape gets full.

thanks to all for replying / yess i have come to conclusion after reding many feed-backs from users of both types / mini dv is the best at the moment /better picture as well as ease of use and above all mini dv tecnology has been there for some time so it has evolved to perfection. ( in my opnion ) /

very new technology so not sure of easily replaceable in case of malfunction
