Vhs To Dvd - Can You Transfer Mini Dv Using This Software

Question

I have Mini DV that I would like to transfer to DVDs. Can you ues the USB Capture device directly into my camcorder (Panasonic PV GS14 Mini DV) in order to get the tapes onto DVD? I want to make sure that this option works before I purchase the software.

Are you using a SD Card?

Do you have a SD Card reader?

Looks as though the SD Card is only for still pictures. (bottom paragraph)

The camcorder outputs on Firewire (1394) or S-Video. (they mention USB but that usually isn't for video)

Firewire capture depends on your PC and OS as MS has been moving away from it -_- So that leaves S-Video which the Roxio Capture will do!

If you need the manual for it, Panasonic does have the download, HERE

Anyone done this successfully? Just got a s video cable today, hooked it up to the Mini DV camera, and get video only; no audio. The VHS capture worked perfectly, but I'm getting no audio on the S video cable, no matter what I do. Tried changing options in my camera output, made sure that the recording default is the Roxio USB adapter, but still no audio (however, the video is crystal clear).
