Hello - I'm a newbie to this forum, but I'm a videowave fan from back at version 4.

I'm wanting to find a way to disable the preview window that shows up during production processes.  I find that when the window does get blotted out by the software, the production is actually compiled much faster than when the preview is displaying in the window.

Anyone know of any tricks or cheats or anything that could toggle off or on the preview of production processes?

Thanks, eh!?

No way to turn off the preview I'm afraid. The only way to get that "blotted out" window (gray with the word Mpeg in it) all the time is to always use Mpeg2 DVD Compliant source files and not do any editing. When you see the gray box in the preview, it is going faster because it is able to leave that part of the source intact and just copy it to the ouptut, because it is already mpeg2 dvd compliant. When you see the preview, it is rendering, or encoding the source to match your output. The switching between the 2 during the output is called Smart Rendering.
