Now that MS have officially released IE7, does EMC 9 run happily with it?

From what I've heard, yes. But I would still make sure I installed 9 and then activated before I installed IE7. I plan on trying it today and will let you know myself.

I've already activated and it works ok.I don't know what will happen if it's installed before activation.Any takers?

Just installed and after running 2 small mpeg tests (1 in MyDVD and 1 in VW) I've got no problems. Only time will tell.
What's the big deal about IE7 anyway?

Can't figure that out myself either. :huh:

At least it's good to see Micro$oft seems to have fixed whatever was causing the problems for EMC 9 in their new browser for those who want to use it.

As I posted some time ago in a couple of other threads, the noncompatibility between EMC 9 and IE 7was reported by the IE development team to have been fixed in a (not released) build subsequent to IE 7RC1. Therefore I think it is reasonable to conclude that it is fixed in the final release of IE 7
In any case the incompatibility only related to the initial registrations of components. After registration I was running EMC 9 with IE 7 RC1 for weeks without any problems. Now with IE 7 final, also no problems.
